The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Sahara Convertible Pants with No-Sit Zips - Men's 30" Inseam:
Generally this is what I wanted. Waste fits well, material breathes.
Only reason for not 5 stars was that the waste size did not come any shorter then 30 inche in-seam so the pants are a bit too long.

Comments about REI Sahara Convertible Pants with No-Sit Zips - Men's 30" Inseam:
Small pockets on the legs are too small for cell phone or camera, too short for pen or sunscreen; maybe for chap stick or something. There's even another very small zip pocket just outside the upper right pants pocket. Can't figure why you need one, much less two or three of these, especially since there's already a change pocket inside the right upper pocket. Otherwise these pants are great.

Comments about REI Sahara Convertible Pants with No-Sit Zips - Men's 30" Inseam:
My biggest issue is the lack of zippered cargo pocket. The old design had one zippered pocket that made it easy to stash valuables and not worry about them falling out. Instead of all the tiny useless pockets, I would much prefer to have a zippered cargo pocket. The no-sit zip are a little too complicated to undo and redo even while sitting down (maybe it needs more practice), but even worse is that on the Gunmetal color I still could not tell the right from left pant leg. Additionally, the pant legs seem much baggier than the old design.

Comments about REI Sahara Convertible Pants with No-Sit Zips - Men's 30" Inseam:
Love them. Hiked a few multi day, high mileage trips(14+ miles a day) with these pants so far. No signs of wear or weakness in high wear areas. No chafing at all and they dry extremly quickly, even after down pour rains.

Comments about REI Sahara Convertible Pants with No-Sit Zips - Men's 30" Inseam:
Actually, I returned the 30 inch for the 28 inch inseam since I am 5'8". I took only two of these pants on a 14 day trip to the bush in Guyana South America where we spend time in both the city and jungle. I lost my motel key once because I didn't notice the zippered key pocket but used it thereafter. In the bush when my pants became dirty with mud, I just unzipped them and used them as shorts. When returning from the bush, I would just wash them in the shower and they would clean up nicely with soap and be dry the next day. When I returned home I continued to wear them daily around the house. I love them.

I used this product to lounge and relax when we were in camp after being on motorcycles all day. They are very comfy and breathable. I love that the shorts are easy to unzip and they pack down very small.

Comments about REI Sahara Convertible Pants with No-Sit Zips - Men's 30" Inseam:
Have had two pairs of these over the last few years. Both have had failed stitching. The first pair lasted for about two years but eventually, the pocket stitching failed, thankfully I noticed because my wallet was on the ground as I was walking around town. Second pair, which I owned for only about 6 months failed in the rear seam.
Have to say, I'll be purchasing a different brand. REI quality control/workmanship is abysmal these days.
