By far the best fitting earphones that stay put while moving around. Running, biking, boot camp, etc. I've had problems with over the ear types being ill-fitting. And inner ear types are either uncomfortable after a while, or fall out. The design on these are fantastic. The only downside is how long the cord is for my uses. I use a shuffle clipped to my shoulder, have to tuck the cord in my shirt, and it still peeks out the bottom.

I've been struggling for years trying to find earphones that work in my very small ears. Most continually fell out of my ears, and were very uncomfortable. I was so pleased to find these earphones on REI's website. They are wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

Service and delivery comments:

We called our local REI (Tustin, CA) and the staff was awesome. They checked to make sure it was in stock and pulled the item for me. It was ready and waiting at the customer service area when I arrived to pick it up. You can't ask for better service than that! REI, you're the best :)

I use these headphones mainly when I ride my motorcycle because I want to be able to hear traffic as well as my music. I throw on my headphones and slip my full-face helmet over them. I can hear everything perfectly. I also regularly use them at the gym and when I go jogging.
These headphones do exactly what they say, and I have found that they are more than loud enough with my Ipod.
These headphones are great if you're moving around and what to hear your environment to interact with friends or for safety reasons. I can hear sirens in traffic approaching from a far enough distance to stop with the rest of the traffic.
If you're using them in a room, like at the gym, expect others around you to hear your music. That said, using these on a plane or the library might be rude.
If you're getting real sweaty, sometimes the cord might slowly uncinch itself causing the headphones to loosen up slightly. Does not fall off though.
If you accidentally tug on the cord, the headphones will cinch down on your earlobe like a fat kid on cake. Not painful, just generally uncomfortable.
One of the pads that cushion against your ear unglued itself after about a month of regular use. No big deal, some superglue made it a 2 minute fix.
Awesome headphones, overall!

I had trouble finding earphones that would stay in my ears when I was running. These earphones are great because they wrap around your ear and are adjustable. They are faily comfortable too. The earbud sits right on top of your ear and allows for you to hear the music you are listening to as well as noise coming from someone that is around you. For a runner like me, these are perfect because I am constantly aware of my surroundings so I feel safe. If you are looking for premium sound quality, THESE ARE NOT FOR YOU. The sound quality is good enough for working out but it's not the best way to listen to music. Overall, I LOVE these earphones and I recommend them to anyone who has trouble with earbuds falling out of place.

Really great product. The loops secure the headphones in place around your ear and don't move whilst running/exercising.
Its perfect for running outdoors as I can still hear outside noises and traffic, but I can still hear my tunes at the same time - very good safety feature.
I have struggled to find good quality headphones that are sweat proof, dont fall out of my ears and are comfortable - these are on the money.

I have psoriasis in my ears so I cannot comfortably wear anything that goes in the ear canal. These headphones are perfect! They rest outside your ear and the wire tightens up around your ear to make them totally adjustable to any size ear. Plus since they don't go in your ear you can hear the music AND what's going on around you. No surprises as bikers whiz past without announcing themselves! YEAH!!! I'm buying a second pair!

As far as headphones go for biking and running there is no better option than these bad boys. Another REI member claimed that the sound is not that great and they are right. But when my $100 bose earbuds fall out time after time and I end giving up on them, then any sound is better than no sound. These are very comfortable and will not fall out under any circumstance; even at 40+ mph on a bike. And they allow you to comfortably wear a helmet, sunglasses, and still rock out to some tunes.

These are designed for men's ears. My ears are small (even for a woman). They stay on, but sometimes they sort of hang.

That being said, they're still my favorite active headphone I've ever used.

My favorite part is they don't fall out like ear buds, but I can wear sunglasses with them.

The sound is great, and I can hear road noises when I'm walking.

I highly recommend them.

I like to listen to music when I work out and when I cycle. But have been frustrated with most headphone designs in that they either will not stay in my ear, or the design interferes with sunglasses helmet, or both. This little design overcomes both of those challenges and pulls it off pretty well. They stay in place, do not interfere with glasses, and as added bonus, they actually sound pretty good too. Unless you are an absolute audio snob, get these earphones and you will be pleased with your purchase.

These are the best headphones I have ever used for working out. I like the fact that it is not in my ear and I can hear traffic & people, when biking, running, skiing, working out, etc. The wire design does not get in the way of wearing sunglasses, hat or a helmet.
