The Petzl Adapt Tikka® 2 mounting system allows your Petzl headlamp to be quickly and easily detached from the headband and attached to mounts placed on a helmet, belt or strap of a backpack.

Kit includes 3 connection plates that replace the back covers on all Tikka®- and Zipka®-series headlamps
Connection plates allow the headlamp to then be attached to the included elastic headband, universal adhesive mount or clip mount
Adhesive mount can be stuck onto a helmet or any other hard surface; clip mount attaches easily to a belt, backpack strap or shirt pocket
Mounts allow headlamp to tilt up and down 45°; headlamp can rotate around on the mounts a full 360°

I bought a Petzl light, my first, a week ago. Has a cute little elasticized head-band, also can wrap on whatever else. Cute. Spiffy. Swell. I'm all choked up with happiness about that lil elasticized band. Oh boy!But then I find it doesn't come with any other headband. Wha ??? And no way to attach it to my pack. Or my bike helmet. Or, really, anything. [$] shipped -- to get what could easy have been included, should have been included -- this costs, max, four bucks for them to make. Unreal.I sortof can't believe this.So. I'll play their silly game. The light -- it's great. High quality, for sure. And caught it on sale -- I love REI. Love love love. This rant is not aimed at them, in any way.One star. I'd put negative stars if I could. Not that it won't be top-drawer plastic and all, just that it's not included with the light, and costs twenty-two bucks.(shaking head...)Oh, and yeah, recommending to a friend, if they are going to buy a Petzl light. I'm not so sure I'd recommend they do that though.

Comments about Petzl Adapt Tikka 2 Kit:

OK, Anybody who has an older model Toyota Land Cruiser (1988 FJ62) will love this Under $100 Modification to get a driver/passenger light in their rig. Had several Petzel headlamps and always wanted to add one to my TLC in the front (old TLCs have an almost useless dome light). Used the self adhesive wheel attachment plate on the review view mirror cover "box" and mounted my Petzel into the appropriate rear plate (provided). Cliped the Light into the plate and push button = rotating driver/passenger light for my TLC. Subsequently upgraded my Light to one that also had a RED LED so that I can use the light at night without loosing vision. The extra strap I keep in a Petzel case so that I can lift off the light in my LC and still use it as a headlamp. (and I never misplace my Petzel light anymore :-).

Service and delivery comments:

At time it was available by mail order only, so it was not in stock at the Flagship store. Talked to a sales representative about what I wanted to do - and she told me that if it didn't do what I wanted it to that REI would take it back no problems.
