The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
Nice adaptable light, the flexible mounting options are a definite plus, lightweight to carry and use. It's a bright light, not my brightest (handheld) light but a great backup. I have never owned or used one of the higher end, more expensive bike lights, but feel the EOS is a good value at its price point.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
This is basically a headlamp with a bike mount.
The implementation posses some problems.
There is -no- side visibility. Zero, zip, zilch. This is in contrast to almost all other bike lights.
The lack of side visibility (or status LED) also makes it impossible to tell if the light is on while riding if it's not dark enough to actually see the projected beam. This makes it very easy to accidentally leave on.
The flash mode flashes very slowly - not that useful.
The mount itself places the weight of the light in front of the handlebars. This results in the light putting torque on the mount - making it go squeek-squeek-squeek. No amount of tightening solved this issue for me.
I would describe the advertised battery life in various modes as "optimistic." Note - I'm using rechargeables - maybe alkalines provide better life.
I suspect this product works fine as a headlamp using the included headstrap. Not well suited for bike use.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
I bought this to mount on my handle bar for trail riding. Works great to provide a nice wide beam for lighting the terrain in front of my bike. I use this in conjunction with a helmet mounted light for spot distance lighting.
I have also used this as a headlamp for working on my car, etc. The light output compared to my 5 year old PT Aurora is like 10 times brighter, but uses the same batteries. I got some AAA enelope rechargables, and battery life is great.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
This light is a winner in more ways than one. I was looking for a light to make me visible to oncoming traffic when riding at night. I had been using an older NiteRider lighting system for actual street and trail illumination, but the size and weight of the battery is a real inconvenience. Then I found this light. It puts out an amazing amount of light from a very small package. No heavy battery packs and coiled cords to bother with. In addition, this light has 4 modes of operation: a bright light for street or trail riding, a medium intensity light to make you visible for oncoming traffic, a low light setting, and a bright flashing light for emergency use. In addition, the light comes with a handlebar mount, a helmet mounting plate, and a full expandable stretchy headband for wearing on your head without a helmet. And the light is priced right from REI. I would highly recommend this light to anyone looking for a light that can be used in a wide variety of applications at a reasonable cost.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
Mounted this on my daughters bike as her headlight. Great design. Bright for only 1 led. Only con is that it can be easily removed. I wish it had a locking bolt for handle bars. Survived crash from new rider with only a few scratches thanks to it's flush design (over bullet shaped competitors that don't stack batteries vertical). Biggest downer is pri€e, but 20% off rei coupon sales works great,

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
I used the same product, but with a different name as a headlamp in a walk from Seattle, Washington to Portland, Oregon to Boise, Idaho. It was great, lit about an 1/8 to 1/5 mile down the road, leaving a wide view close up, I was visible, but also able to see quite a bit myself. This is a great light, and a great price.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
The compact design is ideal. Does not get hooked as easily and seperate like other multi section lights.
I have tried other lights that have the long front to back desing. Inevitably, when you lean your bike, store it, stand it... and it gets snagged on something, the front (light) portion snaps off or broken.
Everything else good about the light has been very well said by other users. Great for the price.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
I use this light on a 1 mile ride to the Montour trail with some street lighting along the way. I also use it on the trail and it lights the entire width of the path which is about 6 to 8 feet wide. I noticed street signs reflect very well too. I would guess at about 25 yards away. Very nice light, easy to change batteries, in my opinion it has a long battery life rated at 113 hours on high. I don't use flashing mode and tend to use only the high setting.

Comments about Princeton Tec EOS BIKE Front Bike Light:
I use this light mounted on my helmet, in addition to a light mounted on my handlebar. A handlebar light is important (and required by law in many communities for night riding), but it only points in the direction that your bike is heading. When approaching an intersection, you can't be sure that cross traffic will necessarily see your handlebar-mounted light, and a car's headlights may wash it out. With a second light mounted on your helmet, you can direct that light toward wherever you're looking. The bike is going straight, but you can turn your head to aim the light right at anyone or anything on your sides.
The Princeton Tec EOS BIKE works great in this capacity. It comes with a few different mounts so you can choose whichever one works best for you; I use the velcro strap run through the air vents on my helmet along with the plastic bracket.
The light itself is very bright. At its highest setting, it lights up street signs from half a block away. I have not ridden in total darkness with this light or had to use it to see where I'm going, as my night riding is on well-lit Chicago streets. But I am confident that it gives me an extra level of visibility and safety.
The button to turn on the light is recessed a bit and has a rubberized cover. It's easy to turn on (unless I'm wearing my thick winter gloves), but seems like it would never turn on accidentally when stowed in a bag.
The light has four settings - high/medium/low/flash - and you access your preferred setting with repeated pushes of the power button: one press for high, two for medium, and so on. One thing I like is that after the light has been running for a short while, it only takes one push of the button to shut it off no matter which mode you're in. Let's say you're riding with the light set to medium (which is accessed by two button presses when you turn on). When you finish your ride and turn the light off, just one button press shuts it off - you don't have to cycle through low and then flash modes to get to off. It's not a huge thing, of course, but it's a pretty smart feature which I appreciate in a moderately priced light.
