Comments about Princeton Tec Swerve Rear Bike Light:
As I daily bike commuter, I needed a new rear light. I was attracted to the bright strobe and sturdy, positive on/off switch. It worked beautifully for a little more than a week. When I arrived at work, the light was very dim, and when I tried to turn it off, it stayed on. After flicking the switch many, many times, it turned off.
Other owners on the Internet said that if there's moisture inside that will happen, so I opened it up (but found no water) and put it in front of a fan for a day but it still worked erratically.
Since it continues to work poorly, I'm going to exchange it for a different light. It's a shame since it had such potential!

Comments about Princeton Tec Swerve Rear Bike Light:
This is a great light for urban bicycle commuting--two very bright bulbs, with a great flashing pattern.
The reason this isn't getting 5 stars is this purchase was made to replace the one that popped in half, fell off my bike, and was lost when I hit a pothole. If Princeton-Tec made the two halfs of the light more securely stuck together this would be a five star light.

Worked great for a few months of normal commuting. Has recently started not turning on, not turning off, blinking when it shouldn't be and vice versa. Used in slightly wet conditions once or twice. Will be returning.

Everyone will see you! So.. If you're trying to be all ninja and sneaky then this might not be the one for you. But if you want to be seen and so flashy and bright that cars actually don't want to drive near you because your light it so flashy and bright then buy this.

Comments about Princeton Tec Swerve Rear Bike Light:
This light is ridiculously bright. The person that said that it's on par with a life raft strobe wasn't joking. It almost puts the Super Flash to shame, which is a VERY bright light in it's own right. I wouldn't want to be behind this light, and in fact I may even recommend avoiding strobe mode if you're ridding with a group and you're not in the back. In continuous mode it lights up my entire living room. You could easily use it as a red flashlight in a pinch. The switch functions very well, and it comes with different sized rubber bands for different tube thicknesses. The downsides are that the battery cover comes off easily, and the bracket setup is kind of clunky. If you're taking it on and off a lot this might get kind of annoying.

Comments about Princeton Tec Swerve Rear Bike Light:
After losing 3 different blinkies with the "standard" mounting option just by going over bumps I wanted something different. This one is perfect. Securely mounts to seatpost or other tube. Very bright, switch is easily found to turn on without having to stop if needed. Great light.

Comments about Princeton Tec Swerve Rear Bike Light:
The most flash for your dollar - on a par with a life-raft strobe! I use the light on both city streets and on high-speed rural roads. It certainly will punch through both the darkness and completing lights on the road.
It has two modes: constant beams from both lamps and an alternating high-attention-getting flashes from each. I use the flash - it is much more conspicuous.
It also has very only battery life. I've been riding all winter - which is harder on batteries - for two-four hours a day, and there has been no fading of the batteries.
(I just ordered a second one for a cross-country trip this summer.)
One note: the great intensity of the device is very directional, i.e., you need to mount it on your helmet or bike so the light is facing straight back for maximum impact. If it is pointed toward the sky or ground, the exceptional intensity will be greatly reduced.
You can't miss with powerhouse.

Comments about Princeton Tec Swerve Rear Bike Light:
I use this light for commuting to work by bike. I've found this to be one of the most attention getting bright tail lights I've seen. The powerful dual lights that blink in a kind of random pattern are very attention getting. I feel much safer with this thing.
Only con is the light from this thing is pretty directional so I'd probably pair this with a 2nd tail light that is more omni directional.

Comments about Princeton Tec Swerve Rear Bike Light:
This is a VERY bright light. Two of my riding buddies have the SuperFlash Stealth and both commented on how much brighter this light is (I don't know how it compares to the standard SuperFlash, though). It is easily seen even during the day. The switch design makes it simple to safely turn on the light while you're in the saddle. I also like the mounting hardware; it seems less flimsy than some competitors. I agree that the cover seems to pop off very easily and while I was concerned about this, it hasn't come off (and if you know anything about Michigan roads, that's saying something). It's endured several hundred miles of trouble-free operation, including one century and one ride in the rain. I suppose my only other criticism is that it's not as sleek and stylish as, say, the SuperFlash. But that's picking nits, because otherwise it's been a great light and I feel a little safer with it blinking happily away.
