Comments about Hi-Tec V-Lite Rapid Aero II HPi Trail-Hiking Shoes - Men's - '09 Closeout:
There are a DOZEN words on the exterior of this shoe. Why? I'd prefer zero words. I'll be sanding some of them off if possible. Why do manufacturers feel compelled to put so much verbiage on their products.
The shoes feel pretty great, but they have one flaw for me- there is no padding at the edge where my upper heel meets the opening. And it is curved in, which probably helps them feel snug, but the combination of curve and no padding has resulted in a blister already. I'm hoping my feet will adapt and they will break in, but don't get these for a long hike/run unless you have time to break them in first.

I put these on new right out of the box and did a 6 mile walk on downtown city sidewalks. They needed NO breaking in and were extremely comfortable (in my top 5 ever), with no slippage and no hot spots.
Though not necessary, I added some memory foam heel cup insoles and made them even better.
I would recommend them without hesitation and would buy them again.

Comments about Hi-Tec V-Lite Rapid Aero II HPi Trail-Hiking Shoes - Men's - '09 Closeout:
I found that the pressure put on the top of the toes to be too much. They felt tight...but the heel slips. This resulted in pain points in front and hot spots in back.
I returned them...great price...but not comfortable.
