Comments about REI Hybrid Light Hiking Quarter Socks with PrimaLoft Fiber - Men's:
I bought several pair of these alongside the Organic Merino Hiking Mini Crew II socks. I definitely prefer these. They fit more snugly around the arch, and generally feel nicer.
I have been wearing them to the office in warm and comfortable temperatures for my area (65-80F) with pants and leather shoes. My feet are slightly moist after a full workday, but I was surprised at how well these wicked away moisture from an indoor setting.
Comfortable cushioning, with no noticeable seams, and all around really nice. If you are ordering sight-unseen, you may want to consider ordering a size down unless you are at the upper end of what qualifies for your size. I generally wear an XL sock, and a size 12 shoe, but these socks are noticeably longer than other REI XL socks I have purchased.
Aside from the sizing being a little trickier to determine, I am really pleased with these.

Comments about REI Hybrid Light Hiking Quarter Socks with PrimaLoft Fiber - Men's:
These are great socks. I have been the same two pairs since Bend Oregon until the end of the Pacific Crest Trail. About 800 miles. These things last and are very comfortable.

Comments about REI Hybrid Light Hiking Quarter Socks with PrimaLoft Fiber - Men's:
Bought a pair of these, Thorlo, and the REI light hiker II socks to try them out. I wore each of these on a hot humid summer day in Oak Mountain State Park. Trails that change elevation (600 to 1100 ft), terrain (dirt, rock, and some steep rock climbs), and distance (short day trip 3 mi., extended hike 10 miles). 2 different boots, Vasque 7214 Ranger GTX for light hiking, and Asolo TPS 520 GV for extended hiking.
Day hike pros:
1. Extremely comfortable.
2. Wicked moisture very well.
3. Did not slip or bunch.
Cons: None, great to wear for work too.
Extended hike pros:
1. Felt comfortable.
2. Dry quickly.
Cons:
1. Severe wearing and pilling on the heel. The fabric rolled up extensively when I checked them after 5 miles. Did not cause blisters, but peeled off the outer layer of callus.
Extremely comfortable socks for everyday use and short day hikes. Not recommended for all day hikes, or extended trips.

Comments about REI Hybrid Light Hiking Quarter Socks with PrimaLoft Fiber - Men's:
I bought three pairs of these to wear with my low hikers during summer hikes. I nearly always wear SmartWool, but thought I'd give these a try. I put them and my shoes on about an hour before I went on my hike and while the fit was good and they were comfortable support/cushion-wise, before I could even get on the trail my feet were drenched in sweat.
Needless to say I switched back to the SmartWool and will be taking these back.
