Rated5out of5byfromgreat backpack fro outdorsi was looking for a good back pack for this upcoming wimter season and for future camping and snowboarding. perfect for me as a size wise. I was thinking of buying 26liters but then went to the store and try this one. love it .

Rated4out of5byfromReeeel NoiceI tried out this one and the Kode 38. The 38 is considerably larger at not much of a weight penalty, but this one is big enough for day trips of all sorts, of couse mostly winter, just felt like it fit better overall for some reason.

Rated4out of5byfromnice bagi was a little leary of this bag as first, it just seems to have SO MANY attachments and gadets, and it's heavier than i'd like. but a friend swears by Osprey gear so i bought it. the first day out skiing with it my sis got hurt and all of a sudden the extra straps and buckles made sense. while helping her limp back to the trail head, it held all her and my gear really well (1 pair skis in A frame set up, 1 pair parallel) and the frame was super comfortable on the long walk back. bottom line, the bag has everything you could need, is tough, comfortable, and can hold enough gear for extended trips. trade off is it's a little heavy to give you the extra support for all that gear. the only thing i'd like to see different would be the main compartment having a compartment compression system to organize your stuff.

Rated2out of5byfromHorrible functionalityI bought this pack to upgrade from a 26 litre bag which was just a little bit too small. The bag fits great and is really comfortable to wear around. The only access to the main pocket is through the back panel. Initially I thought this would be very annoying and inconvenient but after using the pack for a few days, I realized that its actually quite practical and easy. The functionality of this bag is pretty awful. I work on the mountain and am out there or in the back country with this pack 7 days a week, guaranteed. The small buckles are pretty difficult to deal with while wearing gloves. After putting my probe and shovel in the front pocket, the pack seems nearly full, much smaller than my old 26 litre bag. The bag seems even smaller if you have goggles in their pocket. Put a water bladder in there and you are out of space. The lower compression strap is part of the ski carry system so you can never get it tight enough when only carrying a small load, horrible for skiing at the resort. When in the backcountry, it is impossible to get anything out of the front pockets without undoing a bunch of straps and buckles which ultimately means you are taking your skis off too. In all, I really wanted to love this back and I was really excited to get it. After using the pack for about a month, I can't handle it any longer. Its going back to the store tomorrow.
