I've been stocking a bugout bag in preparation for the zombie outbreak we all know is coming. In the interim, however, these Primus mugs make great additions to our family hikes in the mountains of the Pike's Peak region. I also bought a Vargo Outdoors Titanium Jet-ti Stove -an '08 Closeout on the REI outlet store - a fantastic little camp stove by the way - that I use to boil water for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc., that really puts new heart into our expeditions when it's cold out. Even with near-boiling water in them, the mug's handles remain comfortable to the touch thanks to the double-wall construction. The mugs are also tough enough to stand up to hard use. This is exactly what I was looking for in a camping/hiking/bug-out mug.

The MSR MugMate Coffee /Tea Filter is a perfect fit for the Primus 4 Season Mug. Plenty of room in the MugMate for your coffee or tea in a zip-lock baggie. Put the MugMate into the 4 Season Mug add two rubber bands to hold in place. Insert into back pack. Too easy!
