        Great bag. I have one on my touring bike. I have 4k mi over a year with this bag mounted. It's the best fitting bag that I've found for under my Brooks B-17. I keep it stuffed with a tool bag, seat cover, tube and CO2 system. Zipper seems very durable (even under strain from overfilling). Regarding the negative reviews, I can't possibly see how the zipper can open up on it's own.

        I'm about to buy another one for my road bike.

              Just like the others it kept unzipping and opening up and lost about $30 in tools. Took it back and got the RIE Novara bag again. Never had a problem with REI Novara bag, but old one wore out after years of abuse and they only had the Planet bags. Big mistake.

                I use this on both of my mountain bikes. I have never had a problem with either of them. I have been using for 2-3 years. I can't unzip it while I am riding but that is no big deal. I have never experienced this unzipping even a little. Typically I carry my cell phone, a multi-tool, and keys. 11-12 miles typical ride in Michigan with hills and some drops.

                    I use this bag daily since I purchased it about a year ago. I have enjoyed this bag until today when I noticed that the velcro that attahces the bag to the seatpost does not wrap fully around, causing the velcro to wear a hole through my cycling shorts that were not cheap.

                      This is a nice size saddle bag and might work well for road biking but not for the trails. The compartment managed to unzip itself while on a 4 mile trail. All my tools went flying and luckily I heard them rattle and stopped. Not for mountain biking.
