Comments about Oboz Sawtooth Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
I really wanted these to work out. I've only owned Asolos for years now but REI don't carry a wide selection anymore, and no light weight hikers. So based on all the reviews I went with these Oboz. I have narrow feet, but normally wear simply a M width and adjust the laces. Out of the box these gave me blisters on the outside base of both big toes, and that was on some paved trails in Ireland, nothing serious. The jury was still out, so I took them on the mission for which they were purchased, my summer archeology gig in Jordan. They proved not durable, and are beginning to fall apart, and have caused some very painful plantar fasciitis that will impede my half-mara training program for the fall. If your arches are low and you have truly M width feet and don't plan on doing any really rocky trails or steep terrain, then these will probably work. But if you are a bit more extreme in your usage like me, I'd suggest another brand.

Narrow heal which is really rare! Normal fitting in the toes. Very comfortable and needed no break in period. Would buy these or another product from this company again!

I never believed reviews that said comfy out of the box but these definitely were. After only a couple very short hikes, I wore them backpacking for a week with a 40 pound load. I have a narrow heel yet like a larger toe box, and these accomodated, especially because of the awesome lacing system - easy to get nice and snug. Can't comment on waterproofness though cuz wasn't really in any wet conditions. We'll see.

Every hiking boot I have ever had gave me blisters. Break-in time was long and blisters still appeared. These boots are the best I have ever owned by far: comfortable from day 1, no blisters. First try with Oboz was 10 days in No Cascades NP: fine in cold, rain, heat and sweaty feet. Second new pair (wore out the first wearing them on daily hikes) broken in at Glacier NP, 8-12 miles/day. All comfortable in hot, cold, wet, dry. I hope Oboz stays in business a long time because my feet need these boots! (They are so outstanding they prompted this, my first online review.)

Comments about Oboz Sawtooth Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
The most comfortable pair of hiking boots I've ever owned. After 3 days climbing Mount Whitney with a 40 lb. pack, I decided my boots were my favorite piece of gear. I have never gotten blisters from these boots, and they get everything else right: great traction, support, stability, breath-ability, shock absorption. My feet stayed dry in a 30-minute thunderstorm, and they never felt clammy even after hours of hiking on a hot day.

I bought these boots for a 3 day 2 night hike in the Grand Canyon. I didn't have time to break them in but I shouldn't have worried. They fit like a glove the entire trip. It rained on us 2 of the 3 days we hiked and I was the only one in our 7 person group to have dry feet! I highly recommend these boots.

Comments about Oboz Sawtooth Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
I have a thin foot with a wide toe box and these fit nicely. I'm hoping the mid-support will become more comfortable. Went on a 3 hour hike in partial snow, and they have great traction. I usually hike in full ankle support, but am giving these a chance.

I have a difficult foot to fit and these worked for me. The large number of lacing options allowed me to fit the boot to my issues. I was pleased with the grip on the rocks in New England.
