Comments about Gerber Curve Pocket Tool:
At first glance and during the first few days you will think this is a great product, a handy little multi-tool, but once the spring gate that keeps it on your key chain fails off, you will curse the day you bought it. I almost lost the tool when this happened and have never been able to fix it since. Once this tool loses it's portability and handiness because you can't attach it to anything, it is worthless.

Comments about Gerber Curve Pocket Tool:
My wife actually got this a year ago and overall has been very happy with it. No problems with the lock and very useful for everyday purposes, mostly the knife and screwdriver, and actually small enough to *keep* on a key chain.
However, the spring clip recently came out and was lost like others have mentioned. Unlike most of the reviews, though, it didn't happen until she'd had it about a year. Honestly, the easiest solution is to thread it into a split ring so that it doesn't rely on the clip to stay attached. Problem circumvented.

I haven't had any problems with this little knife. It's perfect for daily light duty tasks. As other reviews claimed it's poor quality, I took a chance and purchased it anyway. I'm very happy with it. I only carry it in my pocket and have not had any problems after using it daily for over 2 weeks.

I use the clip to hold my keys and almost lost my keys several times due to the clip falling off

Thought this was super cool looking and nice to have a small handy knife. However turns out the carabiner clip broke within a day. It is also so small that when I don't have it clipped to anything (since clip is broken) it proves difficult to find and not worth the search. The blade is SHORT which turns out not to cut much :( I know it didn't cost a lot but I am still disappointed! Also locking mechanism is difficult to undo.

Comments about Gerber Curve Pocket Tool:
I needed a small knife for work to open and break down boxes and I cannot carry a large knife at work. I read the poor reviews and bought it anyways thinking that it would work for my purposes having on my keys and having light use. I was wrong. Knife looks cool but the carabiner broke after a week or so. It is hard to open being so small. SO for a quick cut is was quicker to rip it with keys then to fiddle with this thing.

Great tool for carrying around every day on your keychain. DON'T USE THE CLIP ON THE KNIFE! The tool fell off of my keychain the first day I had it. I found it and threaded my keyring around the post at the base of the knife (by the clip). Guaranteed not to lose it now, and the bottle opener still works even with the keyring. Also, the tool is difficult to unlock. I found that it was easier when I held my keys and carabiner (that my keys are on), which in a way extended the handle of the knife.
Overall, a good tool to keep with you once you are able to work around the flaws!

I wanted a small pocket knife for my keychain. I saw this at an REI store, bought it. I seems to stay on my keychain with no problem. The blades are a bit hard to close. So, the quality is a bit lacking. But again, it's cheap, so my expectations are kind of low.

I spent more time looking for this knife than actually using it. The last time the spring popped off (while taking my keys out of my pocket), I gave a cursory look around on the ground and said "screw it."

Comments about Gerber Curve Pocket Tool:
I have found this knife to be handy and of fairly decent quality with the one notable exception that is stated in many of the other reviews....the clip is not particularly sturdy. Mine has unfastened from my keychain on several occasions. I really like this little knife (fits great in my pocket and on my keychain), but had resigned myself to the fact that I would eventually lose it. Then I found a solution. I don't use the clip anymore but rather use a tiny ball chain to attach the knife to my keychain. Not exactly what was intended, but it's far better than losing the knife.
