    My daughter doesn't want to wear anything but these pants. Time will tell if they don't pill but for now they are excellent. The 4 may change to 5 once I see how they hold up after many washings.

      We bought these for our daughter to replace some that were stolen with our tandem bike. She wore her former REI fleece pants extensively for fall/winter/spring biking and soccer. This new model has too wide of an ankle---they get caught in the bike chain and cause a tripping hazard when running. They might be fine for under snow pants or around the house, but not as active Seattle fall/winter/spring outerwear. Darn!
