If you have a hard time finding jeans with enough room in the thighs, then your dreams have come true. A pair of pants that lets you be active and comfortable. Love the cell phone pocket. These are good to go from Pikes Peak to Misty, from airport to peak.

I (my husband) wear these (and Revolvr) for two week stretches and still get compliments! In addition to there functionality, they just look great. Note that the Rydr doesn't have the inner front button closure so taking care of business is a little easier! While my preference for summer is the lighter Revolvr, these are suitable for year-round wear. Note that I carry an HTC Incredible which BARELY fits into the phone pocket. I don't think some of the newer phones (think Galaxy 3) with larger screens would fit.

I was attempting to update my old and failing Gramicci pants. Those pants were very comfortable for many activities including cycling. One of the keys to their comfort and versatility was their loose fit including an elastic waist with a belt to limit the expansion. (Gramicci has since gone to China production and apparently the quality has plummeted).
These pants are essentially the opposite. Minimal space between the waist and crotch makes for limited movement and comfort. Apparently this is consistent with the modern trend towards half-assed pants (designed to be worn slid down your butt). Good for serious activities including cycling - forget it. What about wearing long underwear and/or tucking a few shirts into the pants - again forget it.
This bends men's clothing in the direction of women's clothing - encumbered with an uncomfortable and dis-functional burden of fashion.

I originally used these pants for just casual wear but I can be rough on my clothes so i figured these were worth the price. There was a defective rivet on one of the pockets but I hammered it flat. The 38" inseam was more like 39" but whatever, I use a belt. But then the pants started to rip. The first time they snagged on an aluminum ladder and the knee ripped half way around - I couldn't believe how weak the fabric is. After that I figured I would just use them for work pants. The other knee tore on I don't even know what. Both back pockets have ripped out, the cuffs on the pants are shredded. Material is very poor- stick with Carhart.I've had $15 jeans that held up better than these. I don't wash with bleach or enzyme based detergents. When I contacted Kuhl about the poor performance they said I could ship them in but that "normal" wear and tear wasn't covered.I used to buy a lot of Kuhl stuff, but no more.

These are durable, comfortable pants, with a great fit. Unfortunately, the material has permanent wrinkles in it, that cannot be ironed out no matter what I do. The cut at the knees is great for walking, but makes ironing impossible.
So they are fine for outdoors activities, where appearance is secondary, but I could never wear them around town, to work, etc. Too bad, they are well made and I love the material.
