Comments about The North Face Freedom Shell Pants - Men's Long:

These snowpants are awesome, and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants good quality, waterproof, breathable, and comfortable snowpants for skiing or snowboarding.

I purchased the mens version instead of the womens because mens snowpants always seem to fit more comfortably for me. Since I was not able to try on the snowpants before buying them, I ordered one size larger than I needed. The fit on the waist is really good thanks to the velcro on the sides that allowed me to make them smaller. Even though I'm tall (5'8"), the length is a few inches too long so I have to fold them up when not wearing my ski boots.

The bottoms of the legs are wide which makes it very easy for me to access the battery packs on my ski boots even when wearing mittens. But, the snow stays off of my legs because the inner layer that has an elastic band on the bottom.

These snowpants are very comfortable, warm, breathable, have really good zippered vents on the sides of the legs, and are the best pair of snowpants that I've ever bought. Plus, they kept me dry while skiing in rain that later turned into heavy, wet snow that accumulated on the chairlifts. The side pockets are fleece lined and are very soft. I kind of want to buy a second pair of these snowpants for in the future when my current pair wears out.

Comments about The North Face Freedom Shell Pants - Men's Long:

I'm 6'5" and have a 36 inseam. These were advertised as a 35 1/2" in the XL which I could have lived with being entirely used to struggling to find affordable/any clothing in my size. However, they are actually more like a 33 - 34". The cut was also pretty poor with no shape to the knees and the materials were pretty cheap.

North Face seem to be getting worse and worse lately with skimpy sizing and less quality. They used to be longer and allow extra for things like squatting without the legs riding 6" up your leg.

That said, if you're a 32" inseam these will be fine and if your a 34", will probably fit until you bend your leg.

It's down right annoying that companies these days consider a regular to be 32" and long 34". If you're going to go to the effort of making a special "Long" size then please, actually put in that little extra effort and do it properly!!

Comments about The North Face Freedom Shell Pants - Men's Long:

Outstanding product. I'm 6'4" and have never been able to find ski pants that fit, so when I saw these I bought a pair. I was concerned that an unlined pant might not provide enough insulation for Tahoe, but paired with mid weight or heavyweight thermals they are fine down to 20 degrees (so far). The fit is perfect--I have a 36" waist and 34.5" inseam, and the large long fit me perfectly with no binding or pulling. Fit is so good I can wear them without a belt. Have since purchased a second pair.

If you need a tall sized pant I would definitely give these a try.

Comments about The North Face Freedom Shell Pants - Men's Long:

While hesitant to pay the high price, I went in for these.. I purchased the tall-inseam and they fit perfectly.. I am 6'5" so that was a surprising plus. They are very durable and I've used them several times in both sub-zero to 40F weather. In the former, when paired with a pair of thermals, these were perfect..during the latter I opened the hyvents and found them to be comfortable as well. They've withstood alot of abuse and they aren't bad looking either. I'd definitely buy them again.
