Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - Special Buy:
I love this product. I have taken it camping a couple of times and have used it at a four day music festival with 4 of my friends. Its great in the morning for quickly washing you face, nice if you ever need to wash your hands, and two people can easily shower their whole body with one fill of the bag and there is still water left over when they are done!
The on/off nozzle is awesome and makes it super easy to rinse down, lather up with soap, and then rinse off without having to worry about waiting excess water. The shower head on it is also really nice and almost makes you feel like you are at home in your own shower.
If you leave it in the mid-day sun, 5 gallons can heat up in about an hour or two. If only one person needs to shower you can fill it up halfway and it will heat up twice as fast.

We use this on the boat to rinse off the saltwater at the end of the day, or before a long ride back to the marina. Heats up quickly and can get pretty hot on a real sunny day
On extended trips it good for cleaning up in the AM and brushing your teeth. Easy way to keep fresh water on the boat
Size is good for 2 adults and 2 kids to rinse off

Hands down this is one of my favorite, most useful pieces of gear I have.
I have had this hot water maker bag for almost ten years now, and have used it from ten day backpacking trips - it may be a little heavy for minimalist, but nothing makes you feel like a hot shower at 8000 feet after five days on the trail makes you feel - but after I stepped back into camp lookin like I'd just got off the bus
to extended "sissy camping" adventures - It's handy to fill up and just leave in the sun because then you will always have hot water on hand- and when in camp it is amazing how many uses for hot water you can come up with (full on showers, daily face/hair washing, laundry and even for heating up water to do the dishes)
to an actual shower in my own bathroom. Once the hot water heater went out so I borrowed a 'bag' of hot water from the neighbor, hooked it over the shower head, had my hot shower and still made it to work on time clean and fresh)
It has been used _stupid_. And has withstood all the folding, storing, and abuse i have given it. It's been laid over granite, dirt, and fallen logs to heat up. Wedged up for use with rocks and hung from every kind of tree imaginable. It has been folded, rolled, stuffed and still performs just as well as the first time.
If it could be made just a tad lighter without losing ANY of the durability that comes from the thicker material itself, (so I could justify taking it on EVERY backpacking trip) I would have to find something else to complain about.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this portable shower. Bought one to take sailing on a Catalina 25 sailboat... worked perfect. I had purchased another Seattle Sports camp shower as well for the same trip, also from REI. It was more expensive and didn't work as well as this one!
I'd recommend it, good value for the money and held up quite well. Got warm enough for an enjoyable shower with 4 hours of sunlight & 70 degree ambient temperature.
Cheers!

This solar shower is perfect. I like the way the nozel is set up with the closure piece at the nozel. It is easy to use and best of all, it does not leak. I have an MSR that is a dry bag style and I have tried and tried and tried to fold it in various ways to stop leaking and it won't. This solar shower is perfet and rolls up small when not in use.
