It fits a Garmin Etrex Vista Hcx EXTREMELY snugly. The down side is it is velcro not magnetic as the pictures would have you believe. Velcro does make it a two handed operation to retrieve the GPS unit its a minor thing. I would have preferred magnetic. REI needs to represent this product accurately. No stars lost on this technicality. Show me a magnetic closure one and i would exchange it in a heartbeat.

Service and delivery comments:

Shipping was done in perfect order however! the third picture on the landing page indicated this has a MAGNETIC closure. It is actually velcro. I was expecting magnetic and i feel very mislead.

I can speak to the durability of this case because I have used it for at least 4-5 years and with 3 different cell phones. Throughout all that time it has been on my belt daily. After all these years and thousands of openings and closings the magnet that holds it closed finally broke off, and this is after banging it against the side-arms of my desk chair constantly. I recommend it for durability and I am on my way to REI to get another one.

I bought this case thinking I would use it on a daily basis for putting it on my belt loop. Turns out I never used it for this feature and was going to return it. But I found out it works very well when mountain biking and hiking. I clip it on my shoulder strap on my REI Flash and it works great. BTW, my phone is the LG Vortex with the silicone case and it makes it a really snug fit.

I have a form-fitting clear plastic protective shield around my iPhone, and as a consequence many carrying cases are too small to hold it. In this case, however, it fits perfectly, and so far, knock on wood, the stitching and workmanship seems excellent.

I'm using the Sideways case (medium size) for my Motorola Droid. The phone fits securely, and the velcro closure is strong. The Nite-Ize feature that I love is the strong belt clip, with the hook shape at the bottom. It will NOT pop off of your belt by accident, no matter how active you are. This case is flat-out the best I've ever used, and it is also on the low end of the price spectrum. I recommend it most highly!
