Great all around tire for winter training, racing, etc. It may not be the lightest tire, but it has great durability, great traction, low rolling resistance, and is very comfortable for the miles ahead. I will never go back to another tire.

I think I have over 700mi on these and I am definitely a fan. Replaced a set of Michelin Pro3 Race. The Michelins rolled a little easier and gripped a little better, but were nowhere near as durable. I was patching tubes three times a week. Since switching to the GP4000S, I have not patched or replaced a single tube. Tread squirm was a little unsettling at first, but that has diminished after a short break-in period. A fantastic tire with top-notch grip and durability. If you only want one set of tires, this is the one.

I have 700 miles on these tires on rural central Minnesota roads including some brief gravel sections. No problems at all. The tire liner would seem to make these tires puncture resistant. I have not had a flat yet. They seem to have good grip on wet roads. I am very satisfied. They seem to be very well made tires.

Awesome tires. I never knew what a difference a pair of tires could make until I upgraded to the conti Grand Prix 4000s. I ride around 2500 miles annually and these tires have never let me down. They are lightweight and tough. They are buttery smooth on good pavement and can handle very well in adverse conditions too. I typically change them out once a season and they definitely are worn by then. Shy of a tubular, I would say you would be hard pressed to find a better, more versatile tire than the Grand Prix. All in all they are worth every penny!

I ride about 100+ miles a week in season on mountainous roads around Hood River,OR and flats around Seattle,WA. I replaced my stock Specialized Roubaix tires with these after I noticed cuts and wear, got my dividend check, and did some research. I wanted a good recreational all-rounder that could handle moderate wet weather.

I put a 30-mile ride on these this weekend and am sure I made the right call--very impressed. The diminished rolling resistance is noticeable. Overall, the bike just handles differently--much more responsive and stable. There are some steep, downhill hairpins on my go-to ride. On the Roubaixs, I always felt a little drift and backed off. On these Conti's I felt stuck to the road and took them flat out for the first time.

I run 700X23's and recommend an 18-23 tube to ease mounting. I did that in the front after mounting with 20-25 tube in the back, and the front mounting was much easier.

This is the third set of GP 4000 S's that I have purchased and when these wear out, I'll be buying another set! I live in the Sierra Mountains and corner handling on hairpins is crucial and a high speed flat will send you over the side, I have complete faith in these tires for all my riding!

The Conti Gran Prix 3000 were on my Cinelli when I bought it; they wore very well and were highly puncture resistant. I believe I only had one flat on the rear during the time I owned them. I got something like 3k miles out of the rear tire. Just bought the 4000s last year and after another 3k miles, the rear still has maybe another 500-1000 before I replace it.
Probably one of the best tires of this type I've ever owned.
