Pretty nice sunglasses! I've used them while driving a lot and the polarized lenses do a great job in reducing glare and light. I would expect nothing less from smith. The shape takes some getting used to, but it looks very cool. If you feel the need to buy multiple lenses (this comes only with what you order, black or brown) then the sliding lens makes it easy to change. the curvature is prefect for keeping out light from the sides.

Only downside I found was that when you sweat around the bridge of your nose, the glasses don't do as good of a job sticking in place. I wore them while moving huge pieces of granite in the hot afternoon and i found myself constantly pushing them back up.

Overall, great driving glasses, not so good for hard work.

Be aware - these sunglasses are small! I am a woman with a pretty average size face, and they were way too small - squeezed my temples, and just looked too small. If you like the style, check out the Smith District II, which appears to be exactly the same but a little bigger. I ended up exchanging these for the District II, and love them!

I read reviews of people saying they are too small and I ignored them. Listen to those reviews! The glasses are great, but they run very small. I would recommend them for your lady or someone of the female gender or if you think you have a small head. I'm returning mine for the District 2.

I have already owned 2 pairs of these sunglasses in the last 4 years and I intend to buy 2 more. You can do it all in these. They are my everyday glasses. I drive in them every day. I have used them while skiing, biking, hiking, and running. They have been amazing and proven very durable, and switching the lenses is a breeze. I have experienced 2 areas of concern. The first is with replacement lenses. When I tried to replace the lenses about 2 years after initial purchase of the frames, I had issues with lens fit. The replacement lenses were slightly smaller than the frame mold, so they didn't stay in. After about a dozen attempts with different lenses, I replaced the frames to those that fit the current lenses. I haven't tried to get new lenses since (in about 2 years), so I don't know if this is still an issue. The second is with the lenses. They seem to be fairly scratch resistant, but the lenses that come with a mirror coating seem to consistently peel from the outer edges over time (about a year of wear). Neither concern is all that much of an issue, especially considering the amount of use the glasses have received. Overall, a great pair of sunglasses for the money, totally worth every penny. I recommend buying more than one pair!

I bought my pair back in 2005, at that point they came with four sets of lenses, but I hardly ever use anything but black. I have used these for travel, backpacking, skiing, and cycling. They work well for just about anything from backpacking in the arctic to wading through tropical streams, and remain my first choice. My one complaint, it may be fixed now, is that after 5 years of abuse they tend to slide down your face a bit, but since they still work great I can't buy a new pair yet. I highly recommend them.

These glasses were on sale, discounted more than 50%, so I was skeptical about them being any good. But they are! They have by far exceeded my expectations.
