The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit - Package of 4:
I used these little gems on my Copper Spur UL3 tent to cinch down the guylines. Once fastened, they stayed in place...no problems. I'm going to buy another set for my Fly Creek UL2 tent. Makes setting up my tent a whole lot simpler.

Comments about Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit - Package of 4:
It took a bit to set it up on my tent. It would've been easier if it informed you what knot to use to tie to the tent. Once I picked what know to use, it was easy from there.

The concept is great, but remembering how these little hook things work, especially in the dark, is difficult and not at all obvious. I would prefer a simpler device (which are made).

Comments about Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit - Package of 4:
We recently bought a new tent and I had read in the review section that the particular model we purchased did not come with reflective cord. Having already been spoiled with the reflective cord that came with our REI 1/2 dome, we picked up a set figure-9's.
The reflective cord works great, but to our pleasant surprise, the tensioners are really excellent. Our first night out we slogged through a rainstorm with 30mph winds. The only lines we didn't have to re-tension the next morning were the ones held by these figure-9's. Not only are they fast and easy to set up, but they don't slip at all when wet.

These are lightweight and easy to use. They work especially well with notched stakes and make it a cinch to rig a tarp shelter.

Comments about Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit - Package of 4:
I also mainly use these for securing my tarp over my hammock! They are much nicer than the ones that came with my ENO Dry Fly. I carry WAY too many luxuries with me and these are so lightweight they pay for themselves as I can carry more... The only caution I have is that you can get a LOT of mechanical advantage with these. I tightened my tent guide lines a little too tight and a windstorm ended up putting the pole right through the roof when one of the side loops failed. So be careful not to tighten them up too much! I have also looped two lines together to make a cloths line when trekkign through Central America. And so many other uses...
Oh and the lines are actually 8´long!

Comments about Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit - Package of 4:
I bought these for a cheap tent I got online (a list of craigs, if you catch my drift). Needed reflective guyline, saw these and thought "hmmm, those could be very useful in a lot of situations." My main concern was whether they were lightweight or not. They are extremely lightweight! Light enough that I could justify it. Took them on the wonderland trail, leaving them hooked up to the guyline and tent. When I got to camp and was setting up, I was able to set all four of these in the time I could tie one tautline hitch. Well worthwile!

Comments about Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit - Package of 4:
I've seen these for years now and toyed with trying them out. Why I waited for so long, I have no idea. No more failed knots or slipping guy lines. Beyond the tent these have many uses. However, I prefer the Kelty Tripease Guyline over the line include with these tightners its visiblity at night is much greater. I will be ordering more today

Comments about Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit - Package of 4:
I use these on my tarp. They are way easier to tighten than a taut-line hitch and the hook part of the figure 9 lets you get some pretty good mechanical advantage (2:1). With these, I can get my tarp really nice and tight. The reflective line is good in the dark too! My only complaint is when used in fixed end mode (you can use these with one end fixed - as I do with my tarp - or as a continuous loop) they are kind of a pain to adjust along the length of the line. For example, if you want to tighten the line but have no slack left near your stake or tree, you need to slide the figure 9 back towards your tarp. This requires feeding the tarp side of the line through the figure 9, then sliding or feeding the other half of the line. Even with this minor annoyance, these are really convenient, stable, and easy to use.
