The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
I love these little bottles! I bought my first one several years ago (to fill with a solution of liquid soap and water and keep in my diaper bag for dampening a washcloth to clean baby). I used it for that purpose for months with no leaks. I now use it for traveling, and have purchased several more for the same purpose. I have never had a leak and have stored everything from water/soap, body wash, shampoo, and coconut oil (which solidifies at room temperature). Truly. These are versatile little containers with a very satisfyingly squishy feel. I love them!

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
This product has a very (too easy!) pull off top so it can be easily fillled. The problem is that it is so easily pulled-off that it will leak and/or come off in your luggage when subject to any movement--when you are searching for another item in your bag, or pack, or when your suitcase is tossed around by baggage handlers, or another passenger trying to get more space in the overhead bin. I put the tubes, filled, into separate baggies and by the time my luggage was unloaded after a long non-stop flight, shampoo and lotion and other liquids had all leaked into the baggies (lucky me!) I then wrapped duct tape around the pop-off top, to prevent further leaks during my 3 week, multi-stop trip in China, and even that did not prevent leaks. This is a product that should not be made or sold, or bought, as presently designed and made!!!

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
I travel (air) about 150,000 miles a year, domestic and foreign - 2 weeks out of 4 on average. First found these at REI in Anchorage last June. Bought a 3 pack of the 2 oz and used them traveling for next 3 months. Used in both checked and carry-on luggage. The 2 oz are good for 5-7 day trips. Bought some of the 1.25 oz for 3-4 day trips. Work great on gels and pastes - shampoo, body wash, liquid detergent (Joy concentrate), toothpaste, skin moisturizer, sun lotion, shaving cream (tube type). Does not work on watery liquids. Always put them in a zip-lock bag per the instructions and no problem. The suction cup is nice but not for long term ("briefly" is their word).
Even bought a couple of 3 oz for home use as I hate handling 18-24 oz bottles in the shower. Pricey but very convenient and I can reload from larger bulk containers that are usually less expensive.

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
Bought two of these to take on a 3.5-month backpacking trip, and neither lasted more than a week. Both broke the same way: dropped on the floor of the shower by accident or because the suction failed, and the cap cracked.
After they broke, I ended up just buying small bottles of shampoo and body wash, and never missed them.

A great idea, well executed. So many positive attributes: easy to fill, no leaks, compact, won't explode in your luggage due to air pressure changes. Cap needs to be more robust: it can break if you drop it on a hard surface. Price is intimidating if you've never used one. I broke one cap, but it still doesn't leak. I'm going to order two more right now.

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
The capacity is fine for a one week trip for me- the squishy feel is good. I just wish the cap had been designed to be more secure. A weeks worth of soap in my ziplock after day one of a trek was not cool. If kept in a container that minimizes squashing, this bottle works ok- if left in a position vulnerable to squishing against other bottles or the side of the pack- look out. For my outdoor pursuits I'm headed toward other, more secure bottles...for travel in a piece of luggage I'd still trust this bottle.
I think the suction cup is ok for a minute in the shower, but not much more than a quick break.
My wife just shouted out that hers leaked in the luggage on the way to the trek- so we're both pretty cool to the product.

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
Holds my bodywash/shampoo. Use it in the shower after my workouts. Stays put when I moisten the suction cup and attach it to the wall. One touch on the dimple is all that is needed to dispense the soap. Feels nice, too. Downside is the capacity. A filled tube lasts an average of 3 days. Not good if you are planning a trip lasting one week or longer. For [$] might be too expensive to justify the cost considering larger capacity containers cost around $6 cheaper.

After some use the cap no longer is keeping the flexible tube contained. So when you squeeze, the cap poops off (not just the lid, the whole cap assembly).

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
I often do quick weekend trips up the mountains and really liked how the soft squeeze bottle didn't have problems with the elevation changes (no sunscreen, shampoo, etc. explosions). I liked the pre-determined labels and the variety of colors offered - these bottles are definitely more stylish than your average travel containers. BUT... I was very very disappointed with the suction cup and the flip cap. I positioned one of the 2 oz. bottles on a clean tile in the shower and securely pressed the bottle on (*Note - I did not position the bottle high - just a few inches above the rim of the bathtub). It seemed very secure. I came back into the bathroom a few hours later and found that it had lost suction, fallen less than 2 feet, resulting in the cap shattering. Why provide a suction feature if the product is not able to survive an impact. Overall, the cost of replacing one is pretty steep and I think I'll forgo replacing my broken bottle.

Comments about humangear GoToob Bottle - 2 fl. oz.:
Please, don't get me wrong. I really like this product and I think that it is definitely on the right track, as I've put a lot of thought and effort searching for something similar. Look at the list of "Pros" (to which I added many). But, it does have at least one CRITICAL flaw, and frankly for the asking price I would expect a bit more. The "squishy" design is great, sized perfectly for TSA travel, and conveniently one-hand opening for easy deployment. I love the built in suction cup. Also, the bottle is easily washable and refillable, a big plus. The problem with this product is the obvious "weak point"... the thin plastic hinge joint on the cap. It will be the first thing that will break even with careful repeated use. Now, it wouldn't be such an issue if the product was more modestly priced, or perhaps if the product came filled with something already. For example, REI sells a nice SPF 15 Sunblock in a similar 2 oz squeezeable bottle for [$]So, all I'm saying is, if cost is no object, by all means buy this excellent product and get whatever use you can get from it while it lasts.
