Was contemplating getting this for a while, but the price is what kept stopping me. Used my dividends and a 20% off coupon. It's great, my only complaint is the sizing, I am going to get an additional in model 1. I kept going back and forth between the two sizes. I am over thirty, another aspect is I am a virgin and while size 2 fit and is comfortable, removal is a bit uncomfortable, I believe that would be easier with the slightly smaller model 1.

After reading some reviews I picked this up on a whim because I realized my period would come during my first backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon this past weekend. I couldn't fathom carrying a number of tampons and then having to carry them out.

It was a great idea. Yes, there is a learning curve, but I only had one leak overnight. Other than that, even with a heavy flow I was able to hike out of the canyon (6.5 hours) without a leak and go on some day hikes the day prior.

The only thing I would suggest is reading the instructions along with other reviews on how to use it and take your time. I'm pretty sure I only leaked because I was rushing to get to bed that one night. While inserting it I wait to hear a small whooshing sound indicating that it has inflated inside and then I am good to go.

I will definitely be using this on a regular basis, not just for outdoor travel. You can't feel it in there and its not as messy as tampons or pads. I do recommend wearing pantyliners for extra piece of mind.

I am approaching age 50 and this is the best feminine product I have ever used. It provides just what I need for my continuously changing cycle/flow. Yes, using it takes some getting used to but I never worry anymore about inadequate protection vs. flow, or "too much" protection on light days. Starting with the first time I used it, this product has worked for me from start to finish and I'm not wasting money or effort on paper products that are inadequate and bad for the environment, or that are odorous. I feel so liberated! I'm going to recommend it to my daughter when she is older. One note: like others have suggested, I strongly recommend taking paper towels into the stall with you or having wipes on hand when using a public toilet. Things can get messy, but the piece of mind and freedom far outweighs the temporary inconvenience.

I purchased this product for this first time 6 years ago and have been using menstrual cups ever since (I've replaced a few times). My original intention was to decrease environmental impact and avoid the harsh chemicals that are used to treat cotton tampons. This reusable product is also much more economical. It took me a few cycles to get the hang of proper,leak-free insertion. Since then, I'm totally sold. When travelling, there's no need to pack a collection of tampons. I don't have to deal with the discomfort of tampons on light days at the end of my cycle. One pointer for a public restroom with stalls: bring a papertowel into the stall with you to give your hands a preliminary wipe. I highly recommend this product to all my girl friends!

I am floored.... and the inventor should be a millionaire. I was skeptical, but based on the reviews, decided to try it... because it really IS more environmentally friendly in principle.

No leaks. None. It was easy to use, and can't believe I've gone so long without trying one. Everything else on the market leaks...so for me, there is nothing else. The freedom is also great (before this, I wouldn't kayak or swim on certain days). Like someone else said I would definitely pack wipes, but other than that, I am so very pleased REI carries this.

I have used Diva Cup for six cycles and I love it more every month. Getting the hang of it took a few tries the first two days. On the heaviest flow days (and I have VERY heavy flow!) I usually empty it and reinsert twice during the day. I have left it in up to 16 hours during a very long work day in the field, and the Diva Cup nearly made it. I've used it camping, as well, just remember to have clean hands and water when reinserting it (or boil it each time if you aren't with folks who are easily grossed out). I use organic soap for myself, so I just wash it in the shower each morning. I especially LOVE not running out of tampons anymore.

The Diva Cup is fabulous! Once you master the insertion, you will have no leaks. I have a heavy flow and have to empty more frequently than 12 hours for a day or two (leaks if I do not). My cycle is shorter (down to 4 days from 7)and I have no cramps since using the cup. I also feel good about having no impact on the environment.

It's no exaggeration when I say I don't know how I lived without this product! It's quite possibly the best purchase I've ever made, and for years, I have been trying to spread the word and convince my girlfriends to try this alternative to disposable products. With a little practice, you'll have no trouble inserting and removing the cup, and depending on your cycle, it can be worn all day. There are SO many benefits: convenience, size, cost savings, decreased environmental impact.... The list goes on and so could I, but I'll stop. Just buy and try. You won't regret it! (The only reason this product gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because I also own a different cup and prefer it. For some reason, Divacup does not fit as well and sometimes leaks, and I have tried both sizes.) Anyway, give it a shot!

Don't plan to buy and use it with out getting spending sometime getting comfortable with it and your body, as it is not like other feminine products but it is very environmentally friendly and comfortable. Carry some wipes with you for overnight trips but if only out for less than 12 hours no worries at all. I feel comfortable going anywhere with it in and sometimes for get its even there.
