Comments about Riverside Ratch Pack:
Originally I bought these because some traffic laws require them (I'm not sure if other states do too) with a full intention on returning them. After a couple weeks, my kayak kept slipping no matter how hard I strapped it down, even with ratchet straps. On my first use, there was no sliding (yaw) what so ever. I used them on a 2,600 mile road trip to Lake Michigan and the kayak didn't move at all. Even going 80 MPH down the interstate.

Comments about Riverside Ratch Pack:
Have you forgotton your Boy Scout knots? Take the stress out of tying down your boats by using these fore and aft. Sturdy rope, ratchet and S-hook combo is foolproof and strong. Sometimes the S-hook may not fit onto anything on your vehicle. You may need to improvise with a strap, piece of wire, carabiner, etc. Use a short piece of split foam pipe insulation to protect the finish of your vehicle.
