Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
I use this everyday to keep track of how many steps I take. Its good motivation for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I was going to buy a fitbit after it went through the washing machine because I wanted the latest and greatest and had a good excuse to buy one. However; after taking it apart and letting it dry out and them reassembling it, it started to work again. Enough said... its a great product and very accurate. Just a tip, if you trim a piece of Zagg invisible shield and cover the display, you never have to worry about getting scratches on the face.

Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
This is my first modern pedometer. I purchased it to keep track of how much I am walking daily, therefore I wear the pedometer all day long.
I really like the included lanyard (not shown in the REI pictures). It helps keep the pedometer from falling out of shallow pockets. Since not everything I wear has pockets, I have had to get creative about pedometer placement. I've put the pedometer in my boot (attaching the lanyard to the top of my sock), in my sports bra, and in a travel credit card pouch attached to the side of my underwear. The small size, smoothness, and rectangular shape make it easy to find someplace to stash the pedometer for daily use.
Based on a few tests with counting my own steps, the step counting function seems accurate. I haven't tried to validate the distance function because I know I did not do an accurate job of measuring my own stride length.
The 7-day memory is very useful.

Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
I bought a pedometer a few years back and it was useless. This new design is amazing for its accuracy. I can carry it in my shirt pocket and it will exactly count my steps.
I lead hikes and it will be helpful for scouting hikes and finding way points where there is a fork. The distance in feet will not be accurate because my pace is different on different terrain and for going up hill and down hill.
But it is accurate for counting steps. And that is quite repeatable over the same terrain.
I like the simple, compact design. I hate "fashion" designs that are meant to "look cool". This design is very functional, intuitive, compact and classic.

Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
I've owned other pedometers and none have been as accurate as this one. It comes with a sturdy clip and, because it is horizontal, is easily concealed beneath clothes when clipped to my waistband. I also like that it is just as accurate when placed in a pocket. The pedometer is very easy to operate and has enough functions for a casual exerciser. I like that it has separate functions for overall steps and moderate steps (these are the kind that raise your heart rate and are most beneficial). I received this as a gift and it is really encouraging me to walk more.

Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
I wear this pedometer from the moment I get up to the time I go to bed. I love how easy it is to wear either with waist clip or in my pocket.
This device has helped me to increase my number of steps each day. I am hoping to get to 10K each day, but am working to get to 5K/day. I use the "trip" reading as my weekly target--35,000 steps. Once I hit that goal several weeks, I will bump it up to 42,000, etc. Two people at work and my sister now have this pedometer. We compare goals, motivate each other and enjoy taking any walks to get more steps.

Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
I have worn this pedometer everyday for the last week - it does NOT record all steps. It seems to do ok for jogging - but not walking and definitely not all day use. I am surprised by the other reviews. This is the worst pedometer I have ever owned.

Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
This little do-dad is superior to the old fashion clunkers that had to be on the belt just so.
Small and pocketable. I have enough on my belt already, so I drop it in my pocket and forget about.
Called Omron and told them what a superstar it was. Told them the only drawback was no case. At least no case when I bought mine when it first came out.

Comments about Omron Go Smart Tri-Axis Pedometer:
actually, this device does have a 'trip' odometer (steps not miles but can be easily converted)that allows 'leg' measurement...this action does not affect the daily total other than to add the additional steppage...a night light would a useful addition but this pedometer outperforms any of the others sold by REI...
