I've been using these bags for 7 months and have not had a single failure. My dog is a 50-lb. lab/hound mix and the bag size is more than adequate for each deposit. The bags are very thin, but they have held up well even with sticks or leaves getting caught up in the mess. No problem with the seams either. It's not a complaint, but the concept of tying off the bag with the perforation isn't a great method for me. I don't think it's very secure; perhaps I'm not doing it correctly. I just tie a simple knot and toss it in the can. Would obviously prefer a lower price point, but feel it's worth it in the long run.

These are the only bags I buy for cleaning up after my medium-sized (~50 lb) dogs. I've had bad luck with different kinds of rolled bags, but I like these. No need for a special dispenser or dislodging individual bags from a roll; they're easy to tear off the header, and rarely break or split. Unlike some others, the material remains flexible enough to tie in all kinds of weather.

The manufacturer also makes a larger size, so I hope REI looks into carrying that as well. Overall I have no complaints about this product at all.

Works just as well as a plastic bag. I have two dogs 85lbs and 40lbs, at times wish it came in large size for the large dog but overall works great!

These are the only bags i use now. I buy a few boxes at a time, and when i get to the last box, order more. Each box lasts a little over a month. The size is perfect for my 50lb dog, may find it to be too small for bigger dogs/messes. Hangs easily on the leash hook too! I'd recommend these to anyone looking for an alternative to plastic grocery sacks.

I was pretty excited about the idea of biodegradable dogs bags. Sure they're more expensive than the other ones out there, but I figured I'd give them a shot. Worst idea ever. The very first bag I tried to use split at the bottom corner when I put my hand in it. Not what you want to be happening when you're about to go pick up some... well you know... I can use them if I open them ever so gently, but being unsure if your bag of poo is going to split open at any moment is not a good feeling!
Also there is a small hole in the top of the bag which is supposed to help you tie it, but really just makes the volume of the bag smaller. I have two 50-lb dogs, so the bags are kind of small for our needs.
Maybe I just got a bad batch, because all the bags seem to be failing in the same corner, but for the price, and the potential consequences of this failure(!), I'm not willing to give it a second try.

I use these bags daily while picking up after my dog. If only it came in a roll for my dispenser. I found them a few dollars cheaper at my local [...] great for small to medium dogs.

I've been picking up after dogs (family's, my own) for years with plastic grocery bags. I decided last year to start being more conscious of the impact I have, and I've tried a few different bio-degradable bags. This one doesn't split open like another kind I tried.
