Comments about Sorel Joan of Arctic Winter Boots - Women's:
Even though these boots are a little heavy/bulky, they are so comfortable and I LOVE wearing them. They're warm, waterproof, and super cute - even when just out-and-about in rainy/cold weather.

Comments about Sorel Joan of Arctic Winter Boots - Women's:
These boots are cute, warm and waterproof. But these boots are not very comfortable for walking because they are so bulky and don't conform to your feet. Definately don't plan on using these for walking/hiking long distances. They are great for slipping on and heading out into the snow though!

Great looking boot. Great fit - fun to wear out & about, but also utilitarian for snowshoeing and other winter activities.

Comments about Sorel Joan of Arctic Winter Boots - Women's:
After reading several reviews I was torn on what size to order. I'm a 7.5, and I ordered the 8 - they were huge, so I exchanged for 7, and that was a much better fit! If in doubt, order a size down! At first the boots seemed stiff, and not super comfortable to walk around in, but after just wearing 3 times, they've loosened up a ton, and and are much more comfortable! Give them a chance! I will say they are a bit bulky, but really I'm going to wear them for snow boots primarily, so I'm ok with that. And, they are warm! My feet stay about the temp of an icicle, so I have a hard time keeping my feet warm, and these were great as far as warmth goes! Plus, they're super cute!

Comments about Sorel Joan of Arctic Winter Boots - Women's:
I, too, did a lot of research before committing to buying these boots. A lot of what people have said is true. First, the sizing:
I usually wear a 7 or 7.5. I originally ordered a 7 but it was almost impossible to pull the boot on and off -especially when wearing warm wool socks. The ankle was VERY tight. The 8 is a bit large, but I figured it would be better to be able to get the boot on and off when I'm just running out to take the dog out. (Note to Sorel: Please make half sizes!). With this larger size, I have to add an insole and wear the thickest socks - which does have the added benefit of making the boots a bit more comfortable (there isn't much padding on the sole of the boot).
As someone else noted, the bend of the boot is a bit high relative to the ankle. It makes walking a bit awkward and irritating to the back of the leg. (This, too, is helped with thick tall socks).
I do get lots of compliments on the boots and, overall, I'm glad I got them. They keep my feet dry on wet and snowy days. I wouldn't go hiking or spend all day in them, but they're fine for walking the dog, shoveling the sidewalk, or just running errands.

Brought these boots to Tahoe for a week, and they pleasantly surprised me!
Wore them after snowboarding, to the lake for family pictures, snowball fights, sledding and to and from the store. Never felt cold at all! Took a while to figure out if I want them super tight vs laced loose. Now that I've figured that out, I LOVE them! Even wore them without socks while sledding! Best winter boots ever!
Oh, sizing. I've always been a true size ten. Bought one size smaller. Sorels notoriously run big. My dad had to go down a size in his Sorels too.

Service and delivery comments:
my original order was lost and i received some one elses order with all his information in the package. I called immediately to the customer service and they said they were out of my original items. So I got these instead. Not a good choice.

Comments about Sorel Joan of Arctic Winter Boots - Women's:
Beautiful looking boots. However, I noticed someone else had mentioned that these boots dug into their ankle/heel, but thought I'd give them a go personally anyways. Well the first time I took a trek in the snow for just a half hour, the back of the boot had gouged into my ankle and left a bloody cut. :( I felt inside the boot at that spot and the only thing I can figure happened was the stitching of the material inside the boot caused the friction and said damage to me. Not wanting to mess with figuring out how to prevent future injury each time I wore them, I reluctantly returned these cute boots. Comfortable/stylish boots are hard to come by!

Comments about Sorel Joan of Arctic Winter Boots - Women's:
These boots are really cute and I love how tall they are.
I was really disappointed in the comfort level though. It seems like it's taking forever to break in and I wear these to walk to work on snowy and very cold days. Also, the arches of my feet get sore and they are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time.
They also aren't as warm as they claim. At times, they can be a struggle to get off but easy to get on.
For how much they cost, I'm pretty disappointed in the outcome. On the plus side, I wore them tubing and they were great!
As far as the size goes, I'm regularly 7.5-8 and 8 fit great.
