I can't say enough about this shirt. The material is amazing. It's very soft and thin. Now I've only had it for a couple weeks - though I've been practically living in it - so, I can't yet speak for its longevity. But I have high expectations. The material is amazing. It's very soft and thin, yet has this amazingly sturdy, durable feel to it.

Small gripe: I should have gotten the small instead of the x small. (I'm 5'5" and 118lbs). When I layer it, I notice that the sleeves start to feel a tad short, and slowly creep up my arm as I move around. Thumb holes would have been a very nice addition. Also, I would love if the torso were a good two inches longer. Tad tight in armpits. Fits perfectly everywhere else. These factors definitely would have been less of an issue if I'd gone with the size small.

It still gets 5 starts though: The material is absolutely dreamy. Also, it is fantastically flattering.

Icebreaker is my new favorite brand. I wish REI would carry more of their products - especially their jackets. They look amazing.

This is the "Chakra Zip" (it doesn't say that here, but says so on the packaging). It's very lightweight, yet still warm, which is great since I'm always cold, but I hate bulky layers for outdoor activities. I'm 5'10", 150 lbs and the medium fit perfectly with just enough room to wear a slim fitting tank underneath. It fits me much like you see on the REI model, as opposed to on the Icebreaker model. Good sleeve length for my gangly arms, a little tight in the neck when zipped all the way up.
I'm kind of a wuss about wool- I get itchy in cashmere- so I do find that even this top is a little itchy, but not to the point where I can't wear it all day and I definitely like the feel more than synthetic long underwear.
The pink color is very bright and cheerful, perfect for a cold, gray Wisconsin day. I like this top, but if I buy another wool base layer (likely), I'll probably go with Smartwool.

Fantastic multi-purpose top, very lightweight and very warm. In the winter, I would wear a down jacket over this to go for a walk and it would be sufficiently warm. Makes a perfect layering item for backpacking trips, too.

If you don't like clothing too tight on your skin, I'd recommend getting one size up. I ordered a large and it was too tight, so I went the next size up. Other than that, it is perfect for any outdoor activity during cold season.

I love this shirt, I wear it cycling, skiing, and running. It keeps me warm and wicks all the moisture away. The best part is that it does not get stinky, and most wicking materials tend to do after time.

As well as general hiking/camping I also work out in the open ocean a lot and this shirt is perfect for that! When the weather gets nasty out on the big blue sea it keeps me warm, dries quickly, and doesn't stink.
