Comments about Moving Comfort Maia Sports Bra:

I have a large chest but a smaller waist, I wear this bra in a 36DD. I have searched high and low for a bra like this my whole life because I love to be active. I have a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders, they are always tight... with most sports bras the straps come up really high on your shoulders and with a larger bust it puts a lot of pressure on my shoulders giving me a huge headache. But not with this bra! I can wear it all day and night, it wears like a "real" bra but with all the support of a "sports" bra. Underwire, adjustable straps and sizeable clasps on the back. I sometimes wear this bra daily even when im not working out. I now own 3! Oh and they last forever, my first one I have had for 2 years and it wears great and has no holes or thead tearing.

Overall it's a pretty good bra for gym, but when I did high-impact (i.e. box jumps and jump rope) I thought it wasn't supportive enough.

Comments about Moving Comfort Maia Sports Bra:

I bought this to replace another of the same type that I lost, it's that great! Snug fit without being tight, provides ample support for more endowed wearers without causing discomfort or undue pressure. Quick-drying fabric also wicks moisture although I've only worn this during cold-weather activities (snowboarding, hiking) so cannot attest to performance in heat.

Comments about Moving Comfort Maia Sports Bra:

I wish they had in more colors, because I LOVE this bra, it's made for my DDs. I have it in D and DD, and both fit fine... you may need to buy a cup size smaller than you normally do so try before you buy. I wear it to work b/c it keeps things in place very nicely and it's full coverage enough to look like a tank top underneath low cut shirts, without looking too bra-ish. There are NO other sports bras I've ever tried that compare this this one.

Comments about Moving Comfort Maia Sports Bra:

First off, I'm a 30G which is a completely impossible size to find in any sports bra that wasn't ordered from overseas (which I've done). However, I think with sports bras you have a little room to fudge the sizing, and I find that the DD (which would be an E) does enough smooshing of the G sized breast to make this a great overall sports bra for me. I also appreciate the minimization effect this provides, because no one wants to have their G breasts falling all out of their tank tops.

The toughest part was finding a band size small enough with a cup size large enough. It seems like every DD bra comes with a size 40 band, and as we all know the band provides the majority of the mechanical support. When I've gone for a 30 inch band in other styles, I couldn't get the bra on, but this bra is super easy to put on. I am not a fan of racer-backs because I can't get out of them and I find the weight of my breasts carried that far inward causes some substantial neck pain. So all in all this is a very supportive bra.

It also has held up for over six months now, which is a record for any of my bras. The well made material gets washed about weekly (I run about thrice weekly), and the bra is constructed with light padding to prevent headlights, which has also held up quite well, unlike other lined bras which can shift and the moulding can become distorted in the wash.

It's not the prettiest bra, and only comes in the typical big-bra colors: black, white, and nude. I wish REI would get on board with this and realize that there are large chested women who are not plus sized who want to RUN and not look like they're wearing their grandmother's bras. But alas, that's the only downside. I have to say that I find it a good fit under semi-fitted workout tops, and am very pleased with the shape it gives me (round and separated, but not too wildly encapsulated).

I'm also fairly short, so typically bras with bigger cup sizes don't adjust enough in the straps, but these have a large range of adjustability, so there's no straps falling off the shoulders (even though it's not a racer back). It does cover the chest fairly high, but honestly, if you want to wear low cut tops to the gym, you're not going for the right reasons.

Buy this bra now. Just make sure to order a few sizes to get the right fit. REI, please please please keep this style available in the 32DD.

                    Love,
                    Big-boobed runner

Comments about Moving Comfort Maia Sports Bra:

I am normally a 34 DDD or 34DD and the 34 DD fits me like a glove. The cup size is a *tiny* bit snug but I owe that to the fact that I'm probably in between a DD and a DDD, and besides, I like my sports bras to err on the side of slightly tighter rather than slightly looser. I love the double construction of this bra -- the separate underwire and individual cups actually make your chest look pretty decent for being in a sports bra, plus it adds some much-needed extra support. No more wearing a normal bra underneath my sports bra for runs! I am using this sports bra mainly for running, and it holds everything in place with minimal bounce for me (no easy feat).

Comments about Moving Comfort Maia Sports Bra:

I am a 36d or a 34dd, and based on other reviews to order down a cup size, I ordered this in a 34d.
It fit wonderfully, and I took it for a run this morning to try it out. I was on mile 4 before I suddenly remembered that I was supposed to be paying attention to my bra. I was getting so much support that I simply forgot about my breasts completely! (This is not easy...I have breastfed for 4 years and in the past have donned 2 sports bras at a time for added support.)

It doesn't squish your breasts together or flatten them, and although it has a very high neckline, this could be easily worn as an everyday bra under clothes for a very flattering fit.

The only con to this bra is that the back has "traditional" everyday-bra straps and band type (albeit thicker than an everyday bra). This actually adds to the support because the straps are adjustable, but I would have preferred full-coverage in both the front and the back.

Comments about Moving Comfort Maia Sports Bra:

Posters above have noted that the relatively high cut in front is a problem -- I just wanted to put in a positive word for the high cut. I dislike high-neck workout tops, but I appreciate that I can bend over in this bra for deadlifts WITHOUT showing the entire gym my cleavage. Thanks! I'm a 38D and found this true to size and comfortable. In particular, my nipples did not chafe while wearing it, a major problem with other bras that don't reduce motion enough for me. The only reason I'm not giving it four stars is that it took a few wearings to make it really comfortable, but that may be just my preference.
