Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
I have the trainer set up with an old road bike. An extra mount for my bike gps with rear wheel pickup and heart monitor makes it easy to keep track of workouts. I am able to keep my heart rate around 120 seated and 140 standing. Not as much fun as the real thing but great for conditioning. The trainer is quiet and appears to be well designed.

Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
I've been using the trainer for a few months, and I love it. It's fairly quiet, and has a good spin down road feel. Compared to the CycleOps Fluid2 (I have both), the Kinetic has a less steep resistance curve, and spins down a little slower.

Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
I use this in the basement for offseason rides. Very stable secure feeling - sturdy! It took all of about 4 or 5 minutes to be set up and riding, using the training skewer provided. If you change out the cups to accomodate your normal skewer, probably a few minutes longer. Not quite as silent as some say, but way better than an air trainer.

Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
Got it as a gift for Christmas. Fantastic trainer, very stable as I can stand on the bike and pound on the pedal. Can't find anything wrong with it. Very smooth resistance curve as the company described.

Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
Works very well, smooth spin and increasing resistance as effort increases, typical of fluid trainers. Somewhat hard to gage the resistance at the wheel to best simulate road or normal riding conditions. In the instructions it says allow roller to touch wheel and then add two to four turns. It doesn't indicate if these are full, half or quarter turns. The provided video says quarter turns.
With my carbon frame I m reluctant to stand and put in hard efforts, there can be loud and disturbing creaks coming from the trainer. Just worried I could be damaging the bike.
Otherwise it was very easy to assemble and runs quiet while in use. I do not question it's stability.

Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
Purchased as a first trainer for myself and spouse, and we are completely satisfied with quality and performance. It was very easy to set up and feels stable during a ride. Spouse was a bit concerned about the noise level, but finds it acceptable.
Recommend purchasing a riser to keep your front end stable, which allows for a more comfortable ride. Without stabilizer, you have the pressure on your body of leaning forward all the time.
I purchsed this based on all the reviews and am adding my review that is a great trainer to supplement your normal rides. Works perfect for the winter cold and rainy days.
I agree with other reviews that the "coast down" feature is not what they say it is, Kinetic claims that it's roughly 30 sec or so, but it's more like 10-15 second. But to me that is not an issue based on the great product overall.
The warranty and "no leak" guarantee are added bonuses with this trainer.
Spend the extra bucks... you won't regret it.

Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
I have been using the Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer by Kurt for several months three times a week and it has been problem free so far. Easy to setup, works as advertised. It's not the least expensive trainer but you get what you pay for. If your looking for a trainer to keep you in shape over the winter this is THE ONE.

We both use this nearly every day. It is very sturdy, smooth and quiet. My husband is a big guy, so stability was very important to us. This trainer is completely stable.

Comments about Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer:
I just started cycling over the summer and want to keep my interest over the Chicago winter. I have no trainer experience, so I can't give a comparison, but this definitely gives me a workout. It feels very sturdy and doesn't make enough noise to bother anyone. As a novice, I would recommend this to anyone who has a bike and wants to train indoors. Maybe someone with more experience would disagree, but like the title says, it works for me.
