      This is perfect for Black Flies. It is not useful for mosquitoes. We like that it is in a solid stick, it is very easy for the kids to use and doesn't spill in our backpack. We've used it for years and highly recommend it for Black Fly season!

        Besides the smell which was wonderful this product does more to attract insects than repel them. I had to cut a backpacking trip short because the mosquitoes were relentless and this balm failed me when I needed it most. I'm going back to deet. I'd rather be smelly than a pincushion for mosquitoes.
