I hate these shorts and I feel like I am stuck with them. The fabric feels cheap and itchy and there is virtually no compression. REI should be ashamed of its self for selling such poor quality. Now my dilemma is do I waste the more money to ship them back...

I bought these shorts,since they were on sale and a good deal. I can't wear the really short bike shorts, so these were great.
When I got them, they were very thin material, but I thought great they'd be good on the hot humid days. I put them on and had no compression at all. The ends of the legs were actually lose. I went ahead and tried it out, but even on a moderate ride through the neighborhood for an hour my but hurt. Maybe it was the ride the day before, but I don't think the chamois was right for me.
If they had a smaller size on sale I might try them to see if they fit better.
