Tried these because of the great discount price. As usual, sizes are limited on sale items so only XL was available. I'm 6'1", 183 lbs so XL sometimes fits OK. In this case they are just a bit large but the quality is excellent and I'll put up with a less than perfect fit for the price.

The product work and feel good once I got the right size. I used the size chart on the web site and they were so big I could not use them. Second one was under my size but still big. Third worked. What I save on the sale I spent on return shipping getting the right size.

I needed shorts that weren't $200 bibs for the trainer and shorter training rides. For the price, I took the plunge and bought two pair.

I've ridden on them for several months and only have a couple of gripes. First, they fit a tiny bit large. Not a really big problem since they're stretchy, but it does lead to a little bit of sagging in the chamois during long training sessions. Second, the material feels a little thin. Granted, I'm used to super-thick compression fabric, but even so, I'd appreciate a little more support. Then I remembered how much I paid for them.

Yeah, the fabric is a little thin, but not see-through (unlike some). The gel is a little soft, so expect it to give-up after a few hours in the saddle, but it's more than comfortable enough for most charity rides. I machine-wash my shorts (cold, gentle) and hang them to dry (never machine-dry gel). Unlike my Mavic gear, all the decals are still in place. They look almost new and the leg grippers are still intact.

Going to ride a few thousand miles/year? Get some serious bibs. Riding a few hundred? Save your money and get these.

Best shorts for my rear. Pad is not the usual slippery, shinny. It is more fuzzy and somewhat absorbant (which some may not like).
I usually ride 15-30 miles a day and have several of these. I machine wash and dry, so far so good.

These are the primary shorts I'm using right now, they have the right amount of padding for a gel short, I have a house brand gel pair from a national bike retailer and the gel there is way too thick. I find the fleece on these very comfortable for this time of year, we'll see how they fare when summer rolls around.

I actually like these shorts and the fleece padding. I commute from Marin to SF and back and the fleece is so comfortable that I actually grab these shorts first whenever I have a choice (e.g., at the beginning of the week when all my shorts have been washed and ready to go). These are so comfortable that I will, if I am feeling a little sore, pack these for the commute home and wear another pair to work. I rationalize that if my rear is sore now, it will really be sore later, so better to have the fleece later.

I could see how these might be too warm in hotter climates.

The chamois is lined with fleece. Uncomfortable on and off the bike. Doesn't seem to wick, after half hour ride the fleece was wet with moisture. Just doesn't seem like a good idea, if I had known I wouldn't have got them. Sending them right back.
