Comments about Bending Branches Espresso Plus 14 Paddle - Bent Shaft:
This paddle was a big step up for me. It's very light, and the fiberglass on the blade reassures me I won't snap it in half. I have really enjoyed using it so far! Hopefully, with a little care it will last as long as our canoe has.

Comments about Bending Branches Espresso Plus 14 Paddle - Bent Shaft:
I've had this paddle for about three years, and I use it at least 30 days per year, so it's a pretty thorough testing period. It's a great looking, light paddle, at a reasonable price. The amount of flex is just about right, the bend is fine, and the guard has kept the blade in good shape after lots of pushing off on rocks and gravel. I've got two of these, in different lengths for paddling different boats (I've got four). I paddle solo (fishing) at least once a week in season, and also have used it for tandem paddling on multi-day trips and day tripping with the kids. I've been paddling since I was a tot (30+ years, raised by a former Boy Scout guide), and I don't think there's a better paddle out there unless you want to spend twice as much, but then you have to baby your gear - and why would you want to baby a tool? GREAT paddle.

Nice and light. Great for all day paddling. The darker wood makes this beautiful paddle stand out. The wrap around rock guard maks this paddle very durable.
