Great starter kit to add to. Remember a blister can stop your day out being enjoyable or even worse send you back to the car early. Good instructions and a good base kit to add your extras to.

Comments about Adventure Medical Kits Blister Medic II:

I bought these (the pack without the moleskin) before a long hike (Mt Whitney) and backpacking. I got one blister on my heel going down hill. The large one was great and covered it but there aren't enough for a trip longer than two days (assuming 1 blister). At first you hardly notice the blister anymore but it shreds if your foot sweats. The other downside is that when taking your socks off, they come apart as a gel substance and get all over everything, i.e sleeping bag, tent, etc.

            The moleskin is worthless

Comments about Adventure Medical Kits Blister Medic II:

I suspected trouble when I opened the package in my hotel room in São Filipe, Fogo island, Cape Verde.

I had just come back from a hike steeply up the rim of Fogo's caldera and had way overextended myself. One result was painful blisters. So I eagerly extracted the moleskin, only to discover that it was peeling from its backing right out of the package.

I applied it anyway but, sure enough, it had almost no adhesive strength and soon peeled off my toes. In addition, the cutout holes were too big for my blisters and the moleskin was too thin. It was useless. I'd like my money back.

Fortunately, I'd packed some generic moleskin from a discount drugstore at the last minute. It worked. Otherwise I'd have spent the next few days in enforced idleness while my feet recovered.

This item also contains a product called, I believe, Glacier Gel, and about that I have no opinion, because I didn't try it. The alcohol wipes that come with it were effective. But the moleskin is worthless.
