I use this chair when I will be standing in long lines or at the Street Fair and there is no where to sit. Used it @ Comic-Con this year. It was great! The only NEGATIVE comment, it is HEAVY (4 lbs). Everyone asked where I bought it. Do not buy if you are expecting a heavy duty small chair. I think anything over 200 lbs for this chair is too much.

I needed a stool for plein air painting and I chose this stool over REI's similar stool because it felt sturdier and more robust (purchased in store). But with extended use it ended up being very uncomfortable. The fabric seat is supported in such a way that it cuts off circulation to your legs if you're sitting for long periods of time (an hour or more). Even worse-- After about a couple months of weekend use (2x per week, max) the fabric seat started ripping (I returned it). I weigh 220lbs, the max weight is 250lbs. This shouldn't have happened. Also the feet don't accommodate for uneven ground; this feature should be implemented.
If you're small (under 175lbs) and you're only sitting for periods of 5-10 minutes, this stool may be great. Otherwise choose something better or opt to stand (as I have).
