Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
This chair is pretty comfortable except I can't seem to find a good spot for the moveable back pad. If I move it all the way up, its not high enough to be a neck or head rest, and if it move lower or all the way down, my back is arched and its uncomfortable. It is relatively lightweight and very easy to setup but I also wish it compacted down more into a smaller carrying package.

Thisa is the most comfortable chair I have ever owned. It sets up so easy and the adjustable pillow is great. Well worth the money

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
It counts as "minimalist" for car camping, luxury for backpacking. Adjust the sliding pillow down for lounging low, up for sitting upright. Low to the ground, light-weight, and versatile! I use it on the deck, at games, in the campground, and on the trail.

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
Best outdoor chair ever! Good quality, attractive, extremely durable. After looking at a million chairs for our little boat, my husband and I bought two of these. They are just perfect. My husband has a tendency to destroy everything in his path, but these chairs can take a beating! After a bazillion fishing trips, they are still in great shape. They are compact and manueverable and sit low to the ground, but they also have a slight recline, so your legs rest at a comfortable angle. The seat seems reinforced somehow, it's rigid and padded, which is a nice change from our old camping chairs. The chair also comes with a wonderful little adjustable back pillow which gives you great back support, even while sitting for a long time. The pillow is really quite something. It slides up and down on these nifty groves and stays in place where you put it. If you want to sit more upright, slide the pillow up. If you want to sit more reclined, slide the pillow down. If you can't make up your mind, you can move it around as much as you like. It's really cool, you kinda have to see it in person to appreciate it, but I bet if you ordered it you'd be impressed when you got it. These chairs are also quite lightweight and easy to carry, they've got a strap and a little fold-down handle thing (my husband likes the strap, I like the handle). They stand up to the elements well. We used them shore fishing a couple times and got them all full of water and sand, but they dried surprisingly fast. The wet sand and seaweed came off without a fuss and didn't eveb leave a stain. We didn't dry them all that well, but there's zero rust. Amazing! We were sitting IN the water! We bought them for the boat, but we're so impressed with these chairs that we're using them for everything. Picnics in the park, backyard bbq's, fireworks, you name it. Every time we bring them anywhere, people admire them and ask where we got them.. my sister sat in one and almost wouldn't give it back! What can I say? These are great chairs! Worth every penny. Keep making these REI, I might be back for more!

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
I love this chair. It is incredibly comfortable, and I've literally sat in it for hours at a time: just sitting there at the camp site, reading a book, enjoying the scenery, etc. It is a little awkward to carry around, so be aware of that if there's much distance between your car and your seating destination, but it's not such an issue that I'd mark it down. The chair IS definitely portable, performs as described, and if my wife would let me, I'd probably set one up in the den for watching TV. :)

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
I am 6'0 230 lbs and was looking for a chair that could handle my very bad back at camping outings, kid's sports events, etc. This chair absolutely fit the bill - sturdy, comfortable and a pillow that can be positioned so that my lower back is given the support it needs. I bought one for each of my sons who use it for camping, sporting events and in front of their video games. I fully endorse this product!

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
We've used these chairs for two years now and they've held up great, especially with the kids. They are fairly light weight and fold down reasonably flat to through into the trunk. They are a bit low but perfect for sitting around the campfire and roasting marshmallows.
The one great thing is that after many spills by the kids, I was able to remove the seat and place it into the wash sans pillow with no problems. You have to undo the spreader bars and undo one of the bolts to release pressure but it is fairly easy to do with the right tools. The seat came back out very clean and I just hung it to dry.

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
I use this chair wherever I go. So comfortable, semi reclining, and can adjust the moving pad from upper back to lower back. Perfect height from the ground and easy to get up from a seated position. Easy to fold and fits great in our Honda Fit along with the rest of our gear. My husband loves to use his in our 4 man Marmot tent in the evenings on camp trips. We both love the rusty/orange color.

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
This is not a really bad chair, it is well made, except for 1 small detail. I am surprised that no other reviews have commented on this. The chair is made very well with good materials, but some reason all the washers and connectors that are used on the moving parts of the chair, like the pivot, and the supports that keep the chair from collapsing, are made of cheap plastic. I have purchased 2 of these, and the plastic washers (all four, two on each chair) are failing. I purchased these chairs earlier this season. I take them to outdoor concerts every sunday, as well as several trips to the beach this year. I take very good care of my equipment, and am surprised that these are pieces are breaking off. I am also surprised that a forty dollar chair does not have metal washers. This would of increased the cost of production only a few cents. I attempted to replace the plastic washers with metal ones, but for some reason I can't understand, the screws are fused in, and can not be removed.

Comments about REI Comfort LTG Chair:
I love this chair. It's very comfortable, and works great for sitting around the campfire, or on the beach, etc. I like it for playing the guitar because there are no arms to get in the way. You should know that it sits very low, which could be a drawback in some situations. Also, it just folds flat, so it's very compact, but is good for throwing in the car. It has a strap for carrying it which is nice, but you wouldn't want to carry it a long distance.
