REI Members get back an estimated $ 8.00 on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice addition to the hybrid Note to self.....practice kicking out before you need to. lol I fell right over after stopping and not kicking out. Only took one time to master!! Great product that allows you to use the entire power stroke of each rotation of the pedal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Click in Great you can use the straight pedal or the click in side. The click in side slips in with just a little practice. Now click out is another story. When they say practice they mean it. You really have to be aware when you are going to click out, at least until you have the practice down. I have only fallen over once not being able to click out quick enough.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good, though with one important drawback These offer some advantages over the less expensive Shimano M324 SPD pedal, but are deficient in one important respect. Both the M324 and the A530 pedals are "double sided", so both can be used with ordinary as well as cleated shoes. That makes them both good choices for casual riders, commuters and bike tourers. The A530 is around 15% more expensive, but compensates by being significantly lighter (383gms for A530 versus 530 grams for the M324), and offering a broader base on which the shoe rests. The key drawback of the A530 is that their smooth finish can make them slippery, especially when used with normal shoes in the wet. I've used both the silver and the black models of the A530. Both are equally prone to let a wet shoe slip. So I've reverted to the M324. They're tough and trouble free.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sub Par These pedals don't do anything well. Clipping in is more difficult than the Shimano double sided. The angle of your foot has to be just right. Unclip ping is easy. The pedal surface is too small for a regular shoe. My foot (size12) tends to slip off. With cleated shoes the actual cleat creates a metal on metal surface which is even more slippery. But.....for frequent stops and starts, they perform ok. When I can stay clipped on the right, and then go a short distance, I can leave my left free to put down quickly, like in urban congestion. On the more open pavement, most other more specific pedals out perform these. I recommend these, with reservations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compination Pedals a Boon I had taken a fall recently when my wheel went into a rut and I could not get my foot out of the lock. I immeditely ordered these pedals. It took a bit getting used to, but I use the clips for distances and kick out of them and use the flat pedals as I approach rough areas or places that I am likely to stop. This has worked very well for me. I am surprised that this is the only pair that I have seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pedals I'm a beginner/recreational cyclist and this was my first set of clip-in pedals. I wanted something that easy to get in and out of. These pedals are great because they provide a flat surface on the other side for use without cleated cycling shoes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from useful, versatile. Great peddles, I have these on all my bikes. SPD or regular shoes. They work great, and look good too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great first clipless pedals These are my first clipless pedals. At first it was a little diffcult to clip in but I imagine it would be for any pedal the first time. They work great and are perfet if I am going a short distance and i want to wear my sneakers. I have put about 60-70 miles on them. These are great pedals for someone just getting more serious about cycling. There is a little too much float in them if you are doing an intense climb or sprint but otherwise they perform very well. Exit is a little tougher than entry but is easy to get used to. A Great first Clipless pedal!!
