      I picked these up after returning some Vittoria Rando tires that I was not happy with(they're really hard and the sidewalls were cracking all around the tire). I wanted to grab a 32c tire and this is what was available. This tire is essentially Panaracer's version of the Michelin City Trekking tire but it is not as heavy. It is also softer but not as soft as say... a Pasela. I have yet to come into any of the defective issues that some others have had and these tires have seen a lot of miles. Weighing around 180 and always carring panniers, the tires seem to be wearing quickly but, there is still plenty of life left in them. Haven't had any issues with flats. They are also easier to mount than Michelins. I'd buy these again and would consider grabbing the 35c's. I like big tires, what can I say?
      The tread is decent and handles the road, mud, gravel, even wet leaves, pretty well. I can not comment on their cornering in the rain because I'm super cautious(slow) in wet conditions.

      Poor choice of tire, maybe good for winter riding in snow, sleet, &/or rain as it has low rolling resistance and other reveiws shows it may be defective as the tire seperates.Took back to REI and bought The Michelin City Trekking tire 700 by 35 with reflector much better!!!!!! Better value! Puncture resistance , and much better rolling resistance.

          Very useful tires for those who want a smooth ride and good puncture resistance. Their heft comes from the thick rubber tread along with the Tourguard belt. Don't let the weight persuade you against these until you try them. The ride is smooth... at least on my steel sport/touring bike with relaxed angles. The 700x35 on a 24mm rim measures 34mm.

          4 stars because there is no perfect tire.... unless I missed that 35mm one that weighs 250 grams, never flats, lasts forever and rides as smooth as butter!

          These are worth trying.
