Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

Just took this sleeping bag on a backpacking trip in Arches National Park. While the nighttime temp was in the low 40's, we cowboy camped on some slick rock and I woke up to a bag wet with dew. Water didn't leak through the fabric and I never got cold during the night. The sun dried everything almost instantly. The weight is relatively light, but the stuff sack size is a bit larger than the lesser quality 30 degree bags I'm used to. The more accurate warmth rating is well worth the added bulk. Will be using this bag for a long time.

Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

Awesome!! Always get a great night sleep with this bag. I have used this bag with a silk liner in subzero temps and was never cold. I bought this solely on the fact that it packs so small, so i can carry more gear in pack. The zipper feels really cheap but if you are careful zipping up its not a problem. My beagle sleeps in the bag with me so there is plenty of room as well. If you get a good sale price I highly recommend this bag, retail is little high for this bag.

Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

I was looking for a 3 season bag that I knew I could rely on and I knew I could count on Marmot. This is a very comfortable, lightweight bag. I could have bought a warmer bag but do most of my hiking in warmer weather so I have a liner in case I need more warmth. This bag packs small and I have never had issues with the zipper snagging. It offers plenty of room for my 5' 10" 175lb frame. Great bag, you won't be disappointed

Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

I have used this bag on a few trips with nights ranging from 20-50F. The bag is very warm yet has a high range of use I did not get too hot on the 50 degree night. Packs down to the size of a loaf of bread and stayed comfortable all night. On the one night that the temperature dropped down to 19F the bag started getting a little chilly but not bad at all. No damage/zipper/down problems. A little expensive but totally worth it!

          Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was fast. I had to return the first one due to a hole i accidently put in it and it was a very easy process.

Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

Made this purchase for my trip to Alaska for ten days of backpacking through Denali and Wrangell St Elias. Performed great, very comfortable, instant warmth. Had several nights get down below 20 degrees in the higher altitudes I slept warm in shorts and tshirt. It did seem the zipper would always snag about 3/4 closed, a little annoying but not a deal breaker. The hood seemed a little shallow, I usually can put my Cocoon pillow in the hood area of bags easily but this one had trouble keeping it in place. Overall very happy. It packs very small in an XS stuff sack that came with the bag. I utilized the ship to store and it went flawlessly.

Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

The qualities that make this a 5 star sleeping bag are:

High Loft. 850 down is about as good as it gets.
Shell. Surprisingly light and tough nylon.
Comfortable. Enough room to not feel like a mummy.
            Warm. Sometimes too warm.
Compression. Tiny enough to fit in the included 6L stuff sack.

            Cons:
Expensive. However, one of the best values in its class.

I love this bag. First down bag I've owned, and I have been more than pleased. I've taken this on several adventures. I love how warm it is and how small you can compress the bag. I loved it so much, I bought one for my wife. My only complaint and the reason I didn't give it five stars, I wish you had the option for the zipper on either side.

Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

Every time I stuff this bag I can't believe how small it is. I had always strapped my sleeping bag on the outside of my pack before, but this fits in one corner with plenty of room for my tent and pad beside it. And it's so light, at just over 2 pounds.

It is very warm for its weight, but I can't imagine sleeping in 15 degrees without warm underwear and a tent. I was chilly at 30 degrees sleeping out in the open with no breeze on a closed-cell foam pad.

When I close the drawstring around just my nose, my breath condenses on the bag (of course!), and I felt it soaking in. I kind of wish I had bought the water resistant EQ model instead, but it was a lot more expensive.

But I knew to expect that with a down bag, so I'm not disappointed.

All in all it's a great bag for the ultralight, 3-season hiker.

Comments about Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag:

I used this bag on a 2-week backpacking trip in the Sierra high country. Sleeping under the stars without a tent the bag was warm and toasty even when I woke up with frost around me. It packs very small and is light. My only complaint was that the zipper almost always required two hands to zip up because it snagged or just did not move smoothly. Overall, it is the best bag I have ever had.
