    I picked this book up in a lodge in Yosemite and ended up buying for myself. It's a fascinating collection of horror stories - I feel a little gruesome reading it, and some of the stories are pretty awful, but the overall effect is very, very useful: it's a great collection of cautionary tales about the stupid things people do in Yosemite that get them killed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is headed to Yosemite as a reminder that the park is a very wild place where safety procedures and wise choices can save your life.
