I ride my bike at least 10 miles a day, but usually a lot more than that. I have had this saddle for about a year now--received it as a gift for Christmas 2010. I replaced the stock saddle on my 2010 Masi Partenza, which was literally a pain in the but/ Since then, not only has my bum been quite comfortable throughout my daily commutes and rides, but I even completed a 100mi tour on this thing and felt fine.

I took a chance after reading the great reviews, and am very glad I did! Narrowed it down to this one and the She Speed WTB, and literally sat on both of them on the floor of REI. This one seemed a bit softer, so I went with it as a beginner mtn. biker that gets thrown around a lot on the rocky lower trails in UT. Very, very happy. It was comfortable from day one, and has only gotten better. A bit wider than the average road saddle, I believe, which helps with the big bumps! The stock saddle on my new bike was a WTB rocket V, and I couldn't even ride two miles on the paved trails with my kids without being sore the next day. Also, don't let the gel concern you....it is nothing like the gel cruiser seats that feel like memory foam! Still very firm, nothing mushy about it.

My wife hated the seat that came with her bike. She would be in agony after an hour, and her tender bits would be out of commission for days.... This saddle is incredible. She can ride 3 hours with NO PAIN. Near the end of the ride she will realize that she hadn't thought once about the saddle. She loves it! Worth every penny I spent...!

I bought this saddle based on the many great reviews and I am astounded by how painful it is. Rock hard and doesn't seem to support my sit bones no matter how I adjust it. My Terry never hurt me like this, so maybe I will go back to that. This one is going for sure.

I'm a novice rider. This is my fourth and LAST saddle. The others we're either to soft which provided no support or so hard that after a VERY short ride I was incredibly sore. I read the reviews and thought I would give it a try despite the cost. The first day I rode 12 miles pain free.
I would highly recommend it for anyone who has had trouble finding the perfect saddle. A happy rider.

A friend let me try out her Selle Italia Gel Flow women's saddle for a short ride and I was pleased with how comfortable it was. So, I purchased my first Sella saddle for my road bike in which I did a century ride. I was sold on this saddle and bought another one for my touring bike. My friends also purchased the same bike saddle and they are also impressed with the padding support and comfort level. I highly recommend this seat, it's worth the price!!!!

I bought this for a cycling trip in Jordan (and to put on my own Cannondale) on the recommendation of a friend who's an avid cyclist and racer. I could not have been happier with its inaugural use. The saddle was so comfortable I didn't even feel like I was on a bike 40-60k per day. I would not even bother with a gel cover ... just invest in a good saddle!

Just tried out this seat at REI today, along with several other high-end saddles (the Terry Butterfly Tri gel, the Fizik Vitesse gel, etc.), and by far the Selle Italia was the most comfortable. I highly recommend trying out saddles in the store, as it was surprising how different the feel and fit of each was, even when visually they did not appear that different. No opinion yet on how it wears over time or on a long ride.
