I use ~ 12 of these (shoulder and double length) to extend placements on wandering trad routes, as well as backing up my P.A.S. at anchor stations on sport routes. They are affordable and durable, but a bit bulky. If cost was no issue I'd buy nothing but the BD Dyneema version...but I am on a budget these days and Metolious does pretty well.

Metolius makes great stuff, and these slings are no exception. Well constructed. The thicker nylon is nice for safety-neurotic climbers who prefer more durable materials, and the sling works great as an over-the-shoulder multi-use piece of gear (e.g., anchoring, indirect belays, carrying additional gear). For the price, one or two are worth having on any outdoor route. I use them primarily for extending the reach of anchors for top-roping (to prevent sharp edges from cutting into the rope), as well as for clipping in on an indirect belay.
