Comments about Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand:
Great stand for the money. Holds at any position I need it... sure you have to crank down on the knob.... it's nice and portable, so it stores easily and fits in my trunk....
If I wanted a heavier duty one, like the bike repair shop at the local REI.. then I would have to spend a lot more and have my garage floor prepped so that I can bolt a heavier duty one down.
Is only I can get a cover made for it...

Comments about Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand:
The stand itself is VERY well constructed. No problem there! The one problem is how the horizontal arm (on which you hang the bike off) attaches to vertical post of the stand. Unless you 'really' tighten the 'turn knob' at the back (I mean really tight) as you work on the bike, it will start to droop down. The problem is, this is a metal on metal fitment and the weight of the bike (especially when it is hung off the seat post - I have not choice) the uneven weight distribution simply torques the fitting and bike droops down. In fact, I always find that my front wheel finally hits the ground – not a problem unless you wanted to work on the front wheel.
I'm not sure I have explained this issue fully but check out the stand at Performance. They have a very similar stand but their unit has addressed this very point by having small 'teeth' around the circumference of the two fittings. Thus, the teeth bite into each other preventing the weight of the bike torquing it downwards. If you plan to hang the bike especially off the seat post, this is a problem. I think all Feedback stands have this arrangement but at least the higher end models have what I call a 'spider' or 'star' knob that makes it easier to tighten. I'm thinking this may not be problem if the bike is hung off the top bar as the weight of the bike would then be evenly distributed. Good luck.

Comments about Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand:
Solid piece of equipment. Holds my bike in any position I want and is very stable. I didn't need a stand with all the bells and whistles. It's basic but does the job excellently. Best value of all stands I looked at.

Great for cleaning and adjusting. Not capable of vertical rotation beyond horizontal. If you want/need to rotate vertically, you should buy the Pro Classic or Pro Elite stand.

Comments about Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand:
Very good stand for both price and quality. Easy to set up and take down. Even when folded, it can stand up on its own very easily and has a pretty small footprint. When espanded, the feet create a large footprint, so it's very stable, but also requires a bit of space.

Comments about Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand:
I use this wrench on all the bikes including the kids (small bikes, the other stand I had was a cheap one that held the bottom bracket and bottom tube and I don't know how many times my bikes fell on me, PLUS it doesn't take up a lot of space when folded up (other one didn't fold up at all). I like the adjustable height, which is higher than other stands out there. You clamp it on the seat post and then you have access to all the bike without worrying about the clamp hitting any cables etc. Just only with the bike in certain positions, the front wheel can turn and smack you if you're not careful. The only issues I have are: 1. the clamp, you have to turn and turn while you hold the bike in position. I now just lower the height, clamp, then raise the bike. 2. the rotation clamp is a bear, if you rotate the bike so the front wheel is higher than the rear. If you don't turn it really tight, then the bike will rotate on you. If I'm doing a front brake and want the front wheel up, then I'll clamp the bike on the top tube versus the seat post.
Overall, a good buy for the price. You can bypass these issues if you buy the top line, "elite", but for another $100 bucks, not worth it for me.

Comments about Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand:
This is a great first workstand. It is easy to adjust and is easy to set up and break down. The tripod footprint is pretty big and to get the most stability it has to be full extended. This stand can be unstable if the bike in it is heavy.

Comments about Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand:
We gave this as a Christmas gift to our son-in-law who is an avid cyclist. He has been wanting it but hesitated because he could not justify the cost. Well, he loves it because it is light weight, sturdy and adjustable. He put the bike on it to demonstrate how it would make it easy to work on the bike and he was beaming the whole time. I think we did well this year. For what he got, the price is worth it. By the way, the son-in-law is quite tall, so this stand will save him from having back problem.
