The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Wellgo LU-214 City Pedals:
I Love These Pedals! They are strong and provide a wide platform great for leather sole work shoes, boots, or athletic shoes. The rubber on the pedals grips excellent. I replaced SPD pedals on my Giant FCR1 with these pedals as I converted it into my all around town beach and commuter bike.
I bike to work with these pedals 4-5 days a week in leather shoes no problem. You can reset the pedal without damaging your shoe.
These pedals are a lot better idea than other pedals that have little grip pegs in them that will take a "chunk" of skin off you if you slip off or are not careful at a stop as well as damaging your shoes.
Just a note on quality control: The pedals work fine, but I inspected 6 at the store and they suffer a little from slight uneven machining of the rough sections on the ends. I could not not find a pair that was machined evenly. I would not let this deter you from buying them. They are a great value!

Comments about Wellgo LU-214 City Pedals:
I got the pedals just a few days before a organized ride and I really fail in love with the pedals on my first ride. I love the freedom of not have clips, straps while I ride, it makes me feel the way I did as a kid. I am not a person that worries about how fast I ride or trying to pedal in circles. I just love to ride and I want to be able to start riding without worrying about clipping on or straps. I also do not want to worry about clipping out to stop. So yes this is the pedal for me.

I've got about 1500 miles on these pedals so far. Most of my riding is stop and go in town. I love the large platforms that let me ride in any shoe I want. I love that I don't have to worry about which side of the pedal is up.
I just put my feet on the pedals and go. Makes my commuting life MUCH easier.

OK i went through the whole cleat 'n ' SIDIs thing ~ one day i woke up with this uncontrollable urge to trash the whole heap and just ride like i did ... years ago when turn'n cranks seemed so simple ~ no cleats , no lids ~ so i chang'd out the pedals in the stable, push'd my SIDI's 'neath my bed ... and ~ that's the story ~ rides win me glances and comments ~ 'biker envy' you know wink*wink.
Commuting's great with a wide platform 'neath my feet and my Birks don't get torn up by pins or notches. Thanks REI... i looked everywhere for these but you alone carried them. :) Found some old SIDIs neath my bed when i moved ~ dusty batter'd they were , RIP

I put these onto a hybrid and use it for quick rides to the market or other local establishment. I also use this bike/pedals while wearing dress shoes on my morning/evening commutes. Either way, these stud-less pedals are great for not tearing up my soles. They did feel heavy at first, but once I put them on the bike, I don't notice the weight.

I mounted these pedals to my wife's MTN bike that we converted to her Casual/Town bike. She loves the pedals and commented on how they offer a better platform for her foot, a large upgrade from the low-grade plastic pedals that came with her bike.

I have been using a set of these pedals for 4 months. They work great for commuting. I don't wear cycling shoes to work, I wear work boots. My feet stay on the pedal, and the pedal never spins under my foot like some narrow pedals do.

Good solid, well built pedal. I use these on my mountain bike when I'm riding around town. You do not want to use these trail or in wet conditions.
