Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
I ride about 6 miles to and from work every day (12 total), including some fairly nasty hills. While I can't justify coughing up the money for new pedals and specialty shoes, I wanted something to help with my power on those hills and these fit the bill.
They really weren't that hard to install on my basic default pedals (I have a 15+yo Gary Fisher mountain bike). I'm confused about the issues people had installing it due to problems with reflectors, because I didn't have to touch the reflectors--I just installed these on the other side of the pedals. Perhaps my pedals are better suited, but they're nothing special either.
Either way, I recommend them and would buy again!

I read that you have to drill out the reflector holes for these to fit. Fine if you are a metal worker but I don't have a metal drill bit. Even with Wellgo pedals these are not compatible and don't fit. Seems to be the consistent problem. At least REI is good about returns huh?

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
These toeclips actually surprised me in a good way. I had relatively low expectations from a [$] part, but they overall worked out pretty well. They are definitely not designed for heavy uphill pulling, but they definitely improve the pedaling experience for average speed city commuting. Assembling them was a little bit challenging but definitely doable. Eventually I had to return them back to the store, because the plastic part of the clip popped out of the screw that holds it tight to the pedal frame. The manufacturer needs to add four metal washers to ensure that the plastic part stays fastened tightly or they should provide screws with wider head.

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
I'm somewhat of a chicken. While I'm mountain biking if I'm starting to fall over I want my foot off the pedal pronto! These work great! Easy in, easy out. Good power transfer (though I'm sure not as great as clipless). My Keen Targhee's did not work well with them as Keen's tend to have a fat toe. My running shoes (Nike's) and my trail runners (Salomon's)fit great in these. Triathlete's will save some time during transition since you don't have to change from bike shoes to running shoes. These are GREAT!

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
Mounting brackets do not fit the clips. I have 5 bikes ranging in age from 40 years old to 3 weeks and these clips fit NONE of the pedals. They are now in the trash.

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
Bought these because the price was good. I already had old metal toe clips that I could adjust for the thickness of the front of my foot and shoe. These clips were too tight, had to wedge my feet into them and after about 20 min on the bike my toes began to hurt then go numb. No way to bend them looser. I really don't recommend them.

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
These clips are great! They're really easy to install, and I immediately noticed a difference in my ride. I was concerned at first that they would be too flimsy to really transfer any power because my last clips did nothing if the straps weren't tight enough, but they are pretty rigid and hold up very well on the upswing. For [$], you CANNOT beat it.These clips would be great for a commuter or a casual triathlete who doesn't want to invest in clipless and/or change shoes during transition.

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
I couldn't get my biking shoes all the way into these things. Unless you have very small feet and wear shoes with very thin soles, I'd avoid these. They are made of hard plastic that cannot be adjusted.

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
I have used these toeclips for five months now, they are extremely versatile. I can wear my casual work shoes while biking to work, and wear my hiking shoes on camping trips, allowing me to bike and hike anytime. I also wear my cross-training shoes (every day sport shoes) while biking on mtb trails as easy as just riding to the local supermarket. In summary, these toeclips add efficiency to your peddling motion. At the same time it allows versatility - you can wear any pair of shoes, in any occasion, and any terrain. No longer restricted to just bike shoes and specific clips. To top it off, these toeclips are affordable.

Comments about Wellgo MT-10 Strapless Toeclips:
I read a few reviews on here of some people recommending these for fixed gear bikes. Many people who ride fixies stop using a BACK PRESSURE SKID method, and these pedals are waaaay to flimsy for that. Only get these if you rely solely on your breaks to stop... or youll get hit by a milk truck.
