The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Superfeet Orange Premium Insoles - Men's Medium to High Volume:
A year ago (at age 68) I was about ready to give up backpacking and climbing because of what I thought was neuropathy in my feet, which required me to wrap some of my toes with moleskin any time I went hiking. Even on easy trails it was very painful after just a short distance. I tried several different boots and insoles. Then, at my son's suggestion, I switched to Salomon XA Pro 3d Mid GTX Ultra boots (the best boots ever), Superfeet Orange Premium insoles, and SmartWool socks. End of problem. First off, we climbed Granite Peak in Montana in a 26-hour marathon hike, and I had zero pain the whole way. Didn't even have to think about my feet. The SuperFeet Orange insoles feel odd at first because the arch support blob feels too far back, like the instructions say it will. But I got used to it quickly and have never looked back. Just be sure and trim them to fit your boots per instructions. Definitely worth the extra $ to me.

Comments about Superfeet Orange Premium Insoles - Men's Medium to High Volume:
I'm very flat footed with high pressure points on my heel and ball of my foot and subject to plantar fasciitis. I've used Smartfeet Green for quite some time now and recently switched to Orange as it is slightly thicker and more comfortable than the Green. I only used then in my hiking shoes, but have been using them in my every day sneakers for over a year. They are better, sturdier, and longer lasting then the inserts that come in most shoes. I've tried less expensive inserts and still have not been completely satisfied as I have been with Smartfeet.

Have had a pair of Merrills for many, many years and just can't seem to wear them out...except for the insoles which got paper thin. Replaced them with Orange Superfeet and couldn't be happier. Like a brand new shoe. Use them for everyday and for day hikes. Took awhile for my feet to get use to. Actually was a little uncomfortable for a few days while my posture/feet readjusted correctly. Had no major prior physical ailments but did feel much better after getting these in my shoe. Not a bad purchase to consider if your planning a thru hike on the Appalachian Trail...

I have these in my approach shoes and they have given the shoes new life and made them a joy to wear once again.

Comments about Superfeet Orange Premium Insoles - Men's Medium to High Volume:
I bought this pair two days before a 100 mile backpacking/bike trip. I usually use the green superfeet but my old pair did not fit (too small) in the new trailrunners I bought. After trying on both orange and green in store, I settled on the orange because it had more cushion. The green pair felt much more harsh on the bottom of my feet compared to the orange. I was worried about break-in time mostly but also the fit inside my shoe since it isn't a boot with a lot of extra room (I wear Brooks Adrenaline with Gore-tex). During and after my trip, my feet felt better than they have ever before. I normally have very sore feet and lots of hot spots and blisters during a hike. I came away with no blisters at all. My feet were sore but recovered much faster. I would recommend these shoes as a good addition to trailrunners while backpacking. They provide a lot of extra cushion and support. I am a female but wear a men's shoe because I normally can't find a women's trailrunner in the size I need (10.5-11). These did go into a men's shoe so I don't know if the width/thickness would work in a women's shoe as well.

Great insole! Just like the Green Superfeet but with more padding. I work in a warehouse and am on my feet all day - I put these in my Merrells Moabs and it is the perfect combination for my kind of work. I do notice that if I don't have my shoes tied tightly enough my feet will chafe at the end of the day; nothing a little lotion on arch doesn't fix.

I am 33 years old, 5'-6" short, weigh 155 lb and have never had problems with my knees. I am an avid road-cyclist, go to the gym at least twice a week, go on several back-packing trips a year and consider myself fairly healthy.
I recently purchased this product after having walked holes into the insoles that originally came with my hiking boots.
I did not have to trim the new insoles and they fit right into my old boot. After breaking the soles in for a few days, I found that I had to trim some of the 'plastic' hard bottom as it was starting to cut into my heel. After this, things seemed fine and I continued wearing the sole for another week or so.
I then went on a hunting trip and that's when things got ugly. After walking for several hours (about 7 miles) I noticed that my feet kept sliding around in my boots and that both my knees started to really hurt. I had to stop scouting and limp back to camp as my knees were killing me, especially walking downhill. The more I walked and got closer to camp, the worse the pain became.
After trying to figure out what happened I finally removed the super feet the next day and walked with no insole at all. Things stopped getting worse. The rest of my hunting trip was very painful. Packing out an elk 3 miles through rough terrain sucks when your knees hurt like hell.

Did the Catoctin Trail Md (27.9 miles) 2 weeks ago as a benefit day hike for a charity, glad I had these along inside my Montrails, really helped, thought my feet would have been much sorer, they were sore but not painfully so. Doing the MD Challenge (3 States/41 miles/<24 hours) also as a benefit hike in Mid May, guess what I'll be wearing?
