      Black Diamond vs Mammut

Comments about Black Diamond 10mm Dynex Runner:

The Black Diamond Mammut slings are identical on paper. The differences are as follows:

        - The stitching on the Mammut is shorter, and the ends spliced in such a way as not to catch on things
        - The Black Diamond slings seem less prone to fuzzing and abrasion
        - The Mammut is more flexible, knottable, and handles better.
        - The Black Diamond seems to slide more smoothly through carabiners in self-equalizing rigs.
        - They're both the same width, despite being "8mm" and "10mm" on the spec sheets.

It doesn't make much difference in the end. Both are far far lighter and more compact than nylon, and less prone to twists and tangles than cord.

I use Mammut for my draws and Black Diamond for anchor rigging just so I can tell them apart at a glance.

Comments about Black Diamond 10mm Dynex Runner:

My primary use of this item is as a personal backup, while rigging a Challenge course. It just a nice to feel the extra protection while rigging a course solo.
Love it, I am going to require anyone rigging the course to use it. The weight is very light, and why not have it.
I will not enter a course with out one.

Comments about Black Diamond 10mm Dynex Runner:

I've been trading a while, and these are great to bring up a wall. There's no stress about weight what-so-ever. The Koreans I climb with are certainly blown away by them! The slings do, of course being so thin, tend to get "twisty".

The only negative comment is that they look sooooooo thin. The stitching is beautiful and for thin slings they hold up pretty well
