I use this head band while doing a variety of activities. Mostly for yoga or bike riding. I have used it a few times while playing soccer although it can become dislodged after a header which is understandable. It is definitely fantastic at keeping your hair out of your eyes and face. It's also pretty light weight and wide so you can pull it down over your ears if it's cold or roll it to thin it out if you just need a head band. A little expensive but I've bought more than one so I guess it's a good product to spend money on!

THANK GOODNESS for these headbands! They really keep my bangs out of my face when hiking and climbing (even in the windiest conditions) and they stay put for a relaxed yet comfortable fit. I also enjoy wearing the headbands that Buff makes, but I like that these come in plain colors rather than with patterns. I wear them to the gym, to class, when I camp, when I hike, when I play soccer - basically all the time! Love them!!

Comments about prAna Headband - Women's:
I used this on my 11 mile hike on Mt. Baldy yesterday (did a loop from Manker Flats to Devil's Backbone to Baldy Notch and unlike those that cheat by going down the ski lift, I hiked down the 3.7 mile service road). It kept the sweat from dripping down to my eyes, and the annoying blood-thirsty mosquitoes & flies away from my ears (I slid the band down to cover my ears, but it was wide enough to still hold my hair away from my face, which is a PLUS since I have a large sized head). It's a rather simple design, and I'm not sure if it's worth [$], seeing how I could easily have my mom make these types of headbands for me by the dozens for under [$]. Like another reviewer stated, it appears to be made of leftover prAna material. The headband held up pretty well and soaked up some sweat. It also kept my ears warm on the top of the summit. The only thing I wished is that prAna made these headbands in WHITE. Yes, I'm aware they make white in the "burnout" print, but the "burnout" fabric reminds me too much of Ed Hardy stuff. Besides, black isn't a practical color to wear on your head for prolonged outdoor activities such as hiking, and the bright colors attract insects like crazy. I wore the "Burnt Orange" on my hike yesterday, and seriously, I had bees that followed me from Manker Flats all the way up to the summit. I guess the bees thought my head was one giant flower to pollinate since they wouldn't leave my head alone, but left my boyfriend alone because he was wearing my other headband, which is the Buff CoolMax. It was really annoying, and I certainly did not want to get stung by a bee or bees & have an allergic reaction. My advice - avoid wearing the bright colored headbands outdoors unless you like bees and like getting pestered by all sorts of bees and beetles (because they apparently like bright colors too.) One positive note - these are definitely better than the LuluLemon headbands I have... but then again, I have a large head & lots of hair, and smaller headbands don't work well for me.

These are the best headbands ever. I own about a dozen in different colors and use them daily for gym workouts and running. They are super soft, and strong and stretchy so they stay on, but they don't hurt your head. They have unfinished edges, but they don't curl too much. They are also wide enough so that you can tuck in hair in the back if you need to, if it's that awkward mid length. They wash very well and the only color that's lost a bit of color is the black. But nothing drastic, it fades just a little bit, not enough for anyone else to notice. Overall, the best price and quality headband out there, and I've tried them all. I sweat a lot and am growing out my hair and these WORK. PS - the color selection seems to change with season. My latest is the teal blue and it is lovely. The color pops but it's classy enough so you don't feel like a piece of candy.

I hate having my long hair in my face when working around the house and especially exercising. Lifting, elliptical, walking, yoga.... biggest pain when hair gets stray. This headband looks fantastic; love how wide it is. Will be purchasing more!

I was looking for a headband to keep my hair out of my face when diving and this is just about perfect. It also keeps the sun off my forehead. Now all of my female dive buddies use these headbands too. (The only negative is that it fades pretty quickly and then doesn't look as cute, but I didn't get it for cuteness anyway.)

I have a smaller head and this might be the first head band that I've ever found that stays on my head. (BUT it will not feel tight on a larger head either.) I use it during Spinning class to keep sweat and hair out of my face. Works great - went back and bought more!

If you are a runner with thick hair, like me, you are always looking for a good headband. These are a nice low cost option. I have other more expensive headbands but for the long hot runs...these can't be beat. I don't get over heated, they handle just enough sweat and I throw them straight in the laudry when I get home. Great price for an everyday running headband.

I own over a dozen of these and I use them daily. The headbands are durable and have retained its shape over countless washings. Does a great job of keeping the sweat off. The only con is that I wish it was less cotton-like because it can get really soaked during an intense workout.
