Comments about Transpack XT1 Ski/Snowboard Boot Pack:
Used this for a recent trip to Colorado. The side pockets for the boots are very roomy with space left over for gloves, neck warmers, & other items. There is plenty of room in the middle for packing a helmet, thermal wear, goggles, etc. Very well made and very comfortable when wearing it as a backpack, leaving your hands free for hauling a suitcase & ski bag. Love the idea of the holes in the bottom for boot drainage. I've only taken the one trip with it so far, but it does seem very durable & should stand up to the beating the airport gives it year after year! Would highly recommend this bag to any of my ski friends!

Comments about Transpack XT1 Ski/Snowboard Boot Pack:
I am a short, slight woman and this pack allows me to comfortably carry my ski boots, helmet, and additional clothes/gloves on my back so I can have my hands free to carry skis and poles. I have used this pack for 4 years and it is like-new. This is the best piece of auxilliary ski gear I own! My husband is jealous of my pack and is buying one ASAP. (I have not traveled with it on an airplane so don't know if TSA allows this size.)

Comments about Transpack XT1 Ski/Snowboard Boot Pack:
I use this pack to carry my ski boots, gloves, long johns, ski pants, balaclava, helmet, goggles, hand & feet warmers, ski socks, ski lock, toiletries, snacks, sock cap. It is just the right size to carry everything I need when traveling to a ski destination by plane, train or car. It is big enough to carry all those items listed above and then some. I have always been able to carry it on the plane or gate check the bag, which saves on the luggage charge. It is comfortable to pack on your back. It organizes all of my immediate needs to ski on the slopes when I arrive at my ski destination. I have been on many ski trips with the S'no Joke Ski Club of Seattle where we travel to a destination. On several occasions the airlines have not taken or missplaced ski's, poles and luggage for arrival at the ski resort or destination airport. This could cause me a lot of lost time skiing on the slopes, but now for the past 5 years, I have not worried about this situation since I have all that I need in my Transpack XT1 which holds 1800 cu.in. of volume. It worked so well when I went to Sun Valley, Idaho last week, that my girlfriend needed to borrow it to fly to the Colorado Crested Butte ski trip 3 days later. Each of us have had similar experiences with the airlines losing our skis, poles and luggage. But with the Transpack XT1 we don't have to worry about that anymore, because we can rent our skis and poles as long as we have the right gear and our own comfortable fitted ski boots packed in our Transpack XT1 to ski at the destination.

Comments about Transpack XT1 Ski/Snowboard Boot Pack:
Bought one for my boyfriend. Wish I bought one for me, too. Its one of the best presents I've gotten him in 6 years. Holds everything you need, skis/poles over one shoulder, and leaves a hand free for whatever you need. makes getting from the car to the lodge easier.

Comments about Transpack XT1 Ski/Snowboard Boot Pack:
When I retired from Ski Patrol I dreaded the fact that I would no longer have my equipment located at the mountain and that I would have to schlep my gear.
Well I received this gift from my daughter, as a Christmas present, and found that it meets my every need.
Loads of room, easy to handle, and a pocket for everything. Had I known how great this pack is I might have retired earlier!!!

Comments about Transpack XT1 Ski/Snowboard Boot Pack:
I have been using this bag since the first of the year (2010). I volunteer at a local ski area 4 or 5 days a week. The XT1 is a bit smaller than the Transpack TRV and is made of polyester instead of nylon.
The zippers work easily. Construction appears to be rugged. I carry my helmet, goggles, lunch, radio vest and spare gloves, fleece, socks, neck-ups, etc. with room to spare. I love how this pack is comfortable on the back (I'm 5'7")and eliminates the need to carry the ski boots separately. More than enough room in the side pockets for my size 27.5 ski boots.
Unfortunately the bag dimensions do not conform to TSA carry-on bag requirements, so using it for air travel may not be possible.
