Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
Husband loves this so much that I bought it in a second color. He used to wear polar fleece beanies, but once he put this one he won't take it off. He especially loves the folded brim, as he can wear it a little slouchy if desired. Makes him feel slightly hip again! ;) The synthetic ones will probably be donated now that he has these two (dark green and dark navy -- solid colors). Another winner from SmartWool!

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
The hat fits snuggly and stays on. It is very warm yet breathes as wool should. It compresses down to almost nothing. It is not wind proof, but I did not purchase it for that. I have a hood on my shell for poor conditions. This was bought to keep my head warm. My only minor complaint is that my short hair sticks up for a while after wearing it.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
So I have worn this hat almost everyday. And I love it. Although I am bias and swear by smartwool. This hat will keep you warm until about 21 degrees, any lower than that and you will have a slightly chilly head. The absolute lowest temp I have worn the hat at is 5 degrees and it barely did the job of keeping the ears alive. However the rating on the hat does not claim to be super low temp.
Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
My boyfriend had this beanie to keep his bald head warm and loved it, and after I borrowed it for a mere few hours I decided I needed to get one for myself. It's incredibly warm even though it's very thin, and the wool isn't itchy at all.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
I just bought this hat and I love it. I need to wear a hat sometimes when I work but every beanie I try is too hot or itchy. This one only gets itchy if I cuff it or roll it up, I guess the double layer is tighter and doesn't breath as well so I just don't roll it up. The other night I dropped it coming in from work and it spent all night in the street during a violent rain storm. I found it in the morning and it was dry enough to wear in 3 hours and no visible damage. It was covered in little rocks, dirt, and leaves and it looks like I just bought the thing. I love everything of Smartwool that I've ever owned, but it tends to be kinda delicate. Not this hat.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
I found this hat at my local REI in the clearance section and always wanted to try something by Smart Wool, but the pricetag makes it hard to commit to. Being skeptical and it being on clearance, I bought it and am very impressed. The materially feels like nothing else I have worn, stretches but retains shape, light but very warm, breathable but retains warmth. It's like Smart Wool is made with alien technology and has the best of everything. Well worth the full price tag and a hat I plan to wear whenever I get the chance to during the cold Chicago winters.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
I use this beanie under my bike helmet for cold weather riding, in the temperature range from 25 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. In really cold weather I put a cover on my helmet and this beanie underneath. This beanie pulls down under my ears and stays put, keeping my ears warm and comfy thru chilly commutes and recreational rides. I always keep this beanie with me, and it hasn't failed me in the least. Where other beanies have disappointed me by rolling up on my head as I ride and allowing my ears to chill, this great beanie stays put. I also feel like this comfy beanie helps give my head a little extra cushioning from the helmet edges and usually wear this beanie way past the need for just warmth!

I wear this during cold weather hikes, snowshoes and runs, and it's just perfect. Very warm, doesn't itch, fits just right, is comfortable and washes up well.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
This hat has become essential. I wear it every day from autumn through spring.
It has replaced a wider weight-range of hats. It is thin and light, yet it keeps my mostly bald dome really warm even in the really cold. Recently wore it on a 17-degree easy hike through the Flatirons in Boulder. At the same time it is light enough so that I do not get hot when temps are in the 50s. I left it at my parents while traveling and had them mail it to me. I really can't live without this thing.
Remarkable.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
I absolutely love this beanie. I run on the hot side and most beanies are too warm unless it's extremely cold. The Smartwool beanie keeps my head warm without getting too hot or sweaty due to the excellent breathability.
